The point is to develop their synergy of playing together and improving their communication, no matter what champions are played in soloq. And the fact that it's korea means that they're not just fighting with and against a bunch of trolls like in na. So improving their communication and synergy by playing a lot of games together + not cutting some slack because korean soloq is full of sweaties = it should reflect on scrims and professional play. Either you're not accepting how good koreans are even in soloq or you're just trolling.

Elise was an awful pick. Sejuani was probably the best pick he had in all three games. If Dardoch is actually getting tilted by that, he needs to be benched. Because it tells us he doesn't understand the game and tilts too early. But imo that's not why the sej game wasn't good. The entire coaching / drafting staff need to be benched. They're not setting their teams up for sucess - game 1 and 2 drafts are so bad it's sad that clearly very talented individual players are being given such a disatvantage from draft.

Joseph Townsend I hard disagree. Yes the draft was bad but jungle gragas into a Corki or Vlad could have increased the odds of winning the game. Showing Aatrox/Naut early forced TSM to play a very forward all in style the requires the team to snowball perfectly. Gragas and Vlad could help with that all in style even though it’s still a hard game for Vlad to play and requires Dardoch to threaten PoE with R Barrel. Sej adds no value against the champions FlyQuest picked. Even if sej hits the god tier r onto PoE TSM has to run INTO Varus R, Thresh Box and E and sett can ult a threat like BB out of the fight always. Gragas at least has the small chance of threatening Varus or Azir with a great R into naut cc and Aatrox cc into team fight. Hope that helps.

Bjergsens plays this series was beautiful he was playing aggressive was building his own advantages flashing in. He is still a mechanical god. Its just he doesn’t get the resources he used to when hauntzer took a back sit playing tanks. I wish bb just didnt get the resources he isnt able to build much lead with it. And if bjergsen got attention he could trasfer that lead to bot lane.

My biggest problem with that draft is the speed to which they can clear. Azir, Olaf, and Varus can melt every and any objective quickly. TSM would have to have the whole squad to get anything done in time. Individually Ekko was the worst pick for me. It's not even in meta. Like no region is playing him mid from my knowledge. Even if it is a counter to Azir you better get ahead and make moves. But that isn't Bjergs style. If you're going to go AP engage he should've just stuck to Sylas. Ekko's Ult is for self preservation whereas you have 5 different options with Sylas' ult. I think it would've made a big difference since he came off a perfect game 4 with him. The confidence and comfort coming off of that game could've changed things imo.

Bjerg was saved by Flyquest being over eager to end the game in game 1 they didn't push top wave, he died plenty times in crucial times he was the reason they nearly lost the game, getting caught out. Everyone asking about the Ivern/Rengar pick has to understand a couple things. 1: it’s solo q so planned drafting is nonexistent. There’s ways to draft against Ren/Vern, the same way people drafted against funnel. 2: if it failed in scrims, they won’t play it. And I highly doubt they were the only ones to try it. 3: with the 95% pick/ban nerf thing, the combo wouldn’t have lasted very long, definitely not all the way to semi finals.

I think it's two fold. On the one, Bjerg has openly said he doesn't want to hog resources and is willing to not ask for too much jungle help, which is probably why TSMs middle jg synergy is so bad. As for the DD part, I'd say that he knows what has been said about him and his attitude over the years, so its possible that he said something like "I can play the tank." or just overall not making too many suggestions so to not feed that notion. Idk just my thoughts.

I think Bjerg is to TSM like how Doublelift is to TL. Both are very loud vocal players that want to dictate how the game should be played. The main big difference is one is made into a partner of the ORG. So any coach you put in the position won't have much power over the player, opposite to cloud9 where the coach has power over the player.

Rambo + j4 is one of the best comp, especially in lpl (lpl bans either one of them every game). And mf also works well with j4, it could be a good third pick in my opinion. Finally forth pick for a good sup and finally counter pick for top.

Without seeing what the other team is drafting, no draft is perfect. In league, we don't draft a team comp before seeing other team comps. Draft is an interactive process and just drafting your ideal comp will make you lose in the same fashion TSM did, the enemy team will answer with a comp that counters yours and even though they may be worse players, it does'nt matter

When 5-6 differerent proffesional junglers cannot build synergy with their midlaner,it is obvious that the problem is the fucking midlaner.Santorin looked like freaking trash when he was playing for TSM, and this split,alongside POE,he was a completely different man player. Same goes for svenskeren,who completely transformed with Jensen as his midlaner. The thing is that the problem spreads to other lanes as well. Zven looked like the best ADC in the region in this split.I thought he was considered washed up a split ago, wasn't he? Biofrost was a monster during his stint with CLG even thought CLG was a very mediocre team. He looked like trashed this split.

Joe Arcamonte Kelsey Moser said it best, same problems occur with their junglers. Same jungler, same way they die. The laners don't move at all to help the jungler, especially Bjergsen. The guy is the problem in this team, but whatever, as long as TSM keeps Bjergsen, they're not a threat. It's like having mid pobelter slight upgrade(even pob mid gapped him in reg season). That's how bad he is and how overrated. Lec mids said it best, Bjergsen is not good anymore, you just know what you are getting from him. No aggression, no playmaking, just an average mid in Lcs. Hell I'm not giving him credit Going to game 5 with the worst mid Ryoma in playoffs, then a bo5 later getting mid gapped by POE. That actually shows he's average.

@@cepheus9856 Spot on. Add to that a limited/predictable champion pool as well as this very unhealthy Invovolvement/relationship with the team and teamowner. I´m not going to say Bjerg is the root of all evil, BUT playing on a team with a player of his legendary status, fanbase and backing of the teamowner is gonna cripple the mental game of any teammate. Especially a jungler who´s used to going aggressive and popping off, which always brings with it the inherent danger of failure. The whole dynamic around Bjergsen is setting this team up for failure time and time again. He´s not even necessarily doing anything wrong, but you can bet your ass those other four guys shut their mouths whenever chief Bjergsen makes a demand. It´s not a healthy team structure. And as you correctly stated, the guy is a solid mid at best. That´s nowhere near good enough to justify having him on a team for such a long time when he never was able to develop chemistry with a jungler or his other teammates. The game has evolved. Being a mechanical god only gets you so far when your opponents have the same ability but also bring along their jungler to kick your ass.

Xmithie´s value lies in his experience and shotcalling. TSM has shown that in their team there can be no other voices, so his whole value as a player would be lost on that team and they´d end up with a mechanically average at best jungler. No disrespect to Xmithie, but that´s just where his strengths and weaknesses are. The only way i could see this work is if they told the other four teammembers to stfu and give Xmithie free and absolute reign over macro decisions. Actually, that might be what this team needs. Their previous approach clearly isn´t working, so maybe it´s time to shut it all down and let someone with experience and talent lead the team. If they stick with Dardoch, they need to realize he´s not a support for their laners. He needs to be confident and be enabled to do his thing, only then will he and Bjerg finally have synergie on stage. As it is now i believe he´s just another jungler drowning in the talent suppression machine.

I agree that Dardoch has been terrible with his engages but isn't it also about draft ? He often ends up in comps that are losing if they go even which forces Dardoch to make plays all the time. There are errors from him and part of it is his own play but look at both team comps, if they go even until 30 minutes into the game, TSM will get slapped around by Azir/Varus that have good peel from Sett and Thresh

Yea the draft was bad this game, but Dardoch is terrible with his engages in EVERY single game, no matter what the draft is. If he's on an engage champ like Sej or jarvan, he is going to have bad engages. The only time his engages on the champs looked good was during that spring split game vs c9, and that's only because he had a zilean to ult him.

@@thedon6079 Did you miss my whole point ? If you lose draft+ you get outscaled you NEED to make plays because going even is never winning. The result is that there is a bigger ask for Dardoch to make plays. I'm not saying that he is good or that he doesn't make mistakes, just that the draft puts more pressure on him than it maybe should.

That doesn't excuse any of his other games this split where he's looked like shit despite having an even/winning draft. @@thedon6079 I didn't ignore your point, it is rare for TSM to go even or win draft with Sej or J4 but let's look at the two drafts that I think are either even or winning with J4 or Sej. First off there was TSM vs GG in week 8 where Dardoch played J4 and i'd say he played well, no one complained about it, would you say it was a bad game for DD ? The other game that I would say had a winning draft was in week 7 vs C9 where DD plays were praised, were they not ? Do you see other even or winning drafts with Sej or J4 this split ? Because I don't. DD was inconsistent with his plays and engages this split but when given the proper tools to work with (not just his own champions but also what he plays with in his team and what he plays against) he performed okay or better.

@@machineyo_ I agree that he had some good games. I think the game vs dig where they lost was not a bad draft, and he was the biggest reason why they lost their week 9 game against 100 Thieves. Particularly during the 100 Thieves series in playoffs was where i lost a lot of faith in Dardoch. Even when he was put on champions like Gragas he played extremely badly, and most of the team was just dragged by bjergsen to win that series. He had a moment in that series where he E flashed as gragas and then ulted himself, losing his team the fight. He even got an olaf game and got a huge lead, and then threw it all away by doing a stupid tower dive play.

Its a miracle for TSM to be 4. with the worst jungler of the split. I feel like they didnt deserve to win against 100T but 100T also very low so who cares. I think TSM has the same problem as TL but they managed to win some tryhard games. All in all TSM dont look as a team besides 2-3 upset games through the whole split and its enough to be 4. place in Na. In Lec this team would be Shalke 2.0 .

Soon Bjergsen will talk about all the internal issues going on throughout this season, and just like past years with DD in other teams, his attitude was the whole problem, but since this is TSM, a bigger organization, can't let those things go out in the open.... Just a thought.

One of the incredibly interesting things about examining this video and Dardoch specifically is when Loco is speaking to his inconsistency. What would have been really interesting and formidable strategy in EU, or C9 even, would have been to have Dardoch take the Gragas (which he has objectively under-performed on this split) and paired it with a Yasuo for Bjerg. This is not typically Bjergsen playstyle but I think it would have performed so much better in a team fight aspect with scaling and utility.

But Aphelios is not that level of OP now as what it seems like that of the busted champs like when Kassadin had a 97% ban rate, or the OP Galio Irelia and Camille. At that time, sure you could pick it even if it’s off themed with your draft. Aphelios and Sett have counters to them and even Xayah Rakan which TSM didn’t draft against.
