Why are we calling AI "Art" Art?

4 months ago in my video, I thought AI can be a help for inspiration. AI "art" weeds out the people who only likes free art lmao. But in the end of the day, the copyright laws on it is the most pressing issue about AI. I just hope that non-artists can show compassion coz some of them invalidates our concerns 😥😥

I would agree to the AI if the company pays artists to feed their program, it will be an opportunity for all if this was the case. As it is now it is just stealing and taking advantage of all of the art that was uploaded in the internet for people to admire not programs to generate.

what a complex issue! I agree that AI "art" is... its different, and should be understood as different (new terms or labeled as "AI generated") I think the value of a piece can be different depending on how it is made. If a human artist and an AI prompt created the same visual result, I'd still consider the human result more valuable, because intention matters. AI has no intention, but a human can have a reason, a history, a story to tell. AI generated images are a deceptive portrayal of what it means to be human. That said, I have no actual problem with AI as a tool, but it's only fair that it is known how something was created.
