This show is unique in the respect that, while one can argue over the best episode, it's almost irrelevant. Every episode makes the ones before it better. Every frame's a painting, no scene is fill--and there are moments that still give me goosebumps no matter how many times I watch them.

That's a testament to it's glory. When the whole show is done so amazingly well that even the most mundane scenes each hide gems and treasures of their own...you know you got something special. You can truly rewatch this show as much as you want and still see something new every time.

I agree! Some might be better, but all are great. And the show is consistent from start to finish. Each of these characters feel like real people with their own personalities, goals and flaws. It's an amazing accomplishment.

I think it works the other way too. Rewatching Arcane only makes it better each time, somehow. There's always a new connection to make, a new frame to gush over, a new detail to appreciate. And knowing where the story is going doesn't diminish it at all. That's the mark of a good story. Endlessly deep. Or close to it, anyway. XD

They're not from another world, the mage transported them from the mountains that are shown in that shot, to the valley. I guess it is easy to assume the "another world" stuff because the shot of the mage with the planet on his hand. Also that planet or world is called Runeterra, is the world of League of Legends. And keep in mind that Arcane only takes place in just one city of this big world.

"Why are we so emotionally attached already?!" Because that's exactly what the showrunners have been doing the entire time, building your empathy for the characters. Vander is a good father to Vi - he's selfless, he's protective, and we know he's suffered. Vi is a good sister to Powder - she's encouraging, she's protective, and we know she's suffered. Powder is sympathetic - she's precocious, but frustrated by her inability to do good by others. Everyone is in some way an underdog we want to see succeed. The first two episodes are a slow burn precisely because Riot is carefully winding up for the gut punch.

The snowy part at the beginning is another part of this world. Arcane series plays in 1 region of this fairly big world. You have a hell of ride before you I am so excited to see your reaction. This is by far one of the best series in the last years.

The ways people interpret that scene at the beginning, with the mage casting some kind of spell to save Jace and his mother, is always interesting to see. Most people initially think that he transports them from another world (an isekai sort of situation). When I watched it, I thought he was using magic to change the weather. Apparently what *actually* happened is that he teleported them some miles away; you can see the storm-wreathed mountains in the background of the scene.

Great catching that Vi was going to turn herself in. We are now introduced to the Piltover side and their working towards man made magic. Love Vander and Vi's relationship. If you guys are into more excellent storytelling, I would recommend the Star Wars series: Andor. It's seriously has writing and characters we haven't seen in most SW projects. Another one is Chainsaw Man. I feel the anime elevates the source material.

Its arguably one of the best shows ever made. It won literally every single trophy at the Annies (the Oscars for animation) 13 in total I believe. You have all the rights and reasons to be excited. The real question is, why isnt she more excited.?

When the assistant talks about his position, he says he is Assistant to the Dean of the Academy (Heimerdinger), who it would serve to remind Jayce that they are also the head of the council (figurehead, it doesn't exactly come with more power). Mel is the head behind the scenes, where she is able to use her influence to change people's votes for things, as shown by her pointed look at the older councilman who sheepishly raised his hand under her silent order. Also, to have an edit of 21:50 's "no not yet, I need more", insert "A Few Moments Later" card (from Spongebob if possible), then 22:45 's "You cannot end it there!"

Hey! I just wanted to help if you didn't figure some stuff out yet, so as to not be confused for the next episode! No spoilers, just what can be seen in the first 2 EPs: 1 - Vi didn't turn herself in to fight. She wants to end the fighting, because of what Vander showed and told her. That in order to make sure there are no sacrifices in war, you have to prevent it. She's protecting her sister and pseudo-brothers. 2 - Silco is the "old friend" Markus told Vander about in the bar. It's implied so far that they have some sort of history, which from Silco's gleeful reaction to Vander getting in trouble, is probably pretty bad. 3 - Jayce, the inventor dude, wasn't from another world, your first guess was spot-on: He and his mother were teleported by a mysterious mage to somewhere more temperate in the world. The area they were most likely in is known in-universe as the Freljord. 4 - This is more a general theme of the show, but there are no good guys, and no bad guys. Every single person has a motivation, and while some may be more heroic than others, there is reason to their actions. Even the main villain of the show is beloved by most and can be a pretty sympathetic character. 5 - Just something interesting, but notice how much Powder depends on Vi (As an aside, its funny how a lot of Aussies and Brits say it as V, like the letter, its an interesting language quirk). In the first episode, during the heist, Powder was essentially dead weight, same with the chase in this one. And its not even because she's that young, children her age like Milo had mentioned are more capable than Powder, Powder's just been coddled a lot by Vi. And as you might see as the season continues, it causes a lot of instability in Powder's life. I'm so glad you all are starting this series and have been enjoying it so much, I've personally watched it 10 catalogued times all the way through and love seeing other people introduced to my all-time favorite show!

I wouldn't consider it a spoiler, because its what happened. Plus, it's not like Silco would tell Markus that because he's hunky-dory with Vander.

Because in the end that's how a lot of people believe a show is most impactful: When you can understand the basic details. And just because a show "officially reveals it in X" doesn't mean you can't understand it beforehand. The explanation of how and why is the interesting and surprising part.

Definitely hard to like, but you get the impression there is a lot more going on with him than we initially see. Great reaction, guys! Loving your series on this! I love the tragic irony of Arcane: Vander's sage advice is just brutal irony. "When people look up to you, you don’t get to be selfish. You say run, they run. You say swim, they dive in. You say light a fire, they show up with oil. But whatever happens, it’s on you." will haunt Vi forever. ".... but who are you willing lose? Milo? Clagger? Powder?" That Vi lost all three is just Greek Tragedy foreshadowing irony at its finest.

Vi is short for Violet so it is not pronounced Vee. Jayce and his mom were transported from once side of the world (Runeteera not earth) from an area called the Freiljord to Piltover what has been referred to so far as topside.

A lot of the League of Legends fans (of the game) were truly tickled by this series because it displayed many of the characters they have played for hours and hours - while simultaneously combining their backgrounds/lore into a full television series. You can read the lore behind each of the characters who are shown in the show on the League of Legends wiki. Also, as the show goes on and more "fighting" begins to happen, many of the moves/attacks that the characters do in the show are taken directly from the game-characters kits in the game. It was extremely enjoyable to watch as somebody who played league of legends back in college. Characters in the show who you can play in the game: -Vi (Violent / older sister) -Jinx (Powder / blue haired girl) -Ekko ("little man" - you will see more of him later) -Singed (scientist who created shimmer and is helping Silco) -Caitlyn (marksman who is daughter to the council woman who sponsored Jaycee's family) -Jayce (inventor and creator of hextec) -Heimerdinger (Professor and council member) -Viktor (Heimerdinger's assistant who helps Jaycee)

Again seeing their reactions and now what happened on the other side of the door and how the society above is where half of the events continue also generate consequences, to begin with we see a young inventor who after his encounter with a magician became fascinated with this power, although far from sharing his visions, the magic is restricted by a council of varied characters with different points of view and/or interests, all the tricks of politics in action and how such a structured society does not tolerate the lack of its individuals. After a reprimand and having aroused so much curiosity and fear, Jace, socially discredited, expelled from the academy and without a sponsor, makes the decision to end his life if it were not for the curiosity of another inventor whose humble origins are similar to our first protagonists, who Trying to keep a low profile, they find themselves increasingly besieged by the enforcers, the viciousness of Marcus and an old acquaintance from Vander's past leave him with few options, his people want to fight but apparently only Vi, after a new conversation, gets in touch. mind turning herself in to stop the fighting after saying goodbye to Powder without telling Vander who seems to notice it at the end. We can have similarities with the first prologue by placing Powder and Caitlyn in opposite places both in context and position, Jace as well as Vi are out of shot in the first look and the red background is changed to a white one, remember those of Marcus about "every coin that is exchanged is the product of crime" and "I'm going to bury them all" is not a spoiler but do not anticipate about some characters either since this series is not predictable despite having the tropes of one.

SPOILERISH SPECULATION FOR SEASON 2 - - - - - - - - - - I wonder if they're gonna play the inverse of that dynamic in season 2. The theme of season 1 was duality, if that bleed into season 2 too, having their relationship be a mirror image of what it once was would be interesting.

I know this show has the lowest viewership in your channel. These probably because of some reason: 1. Arcane fans have watch a hundred reactors already and are already tired. 😂 2. Your viewers doesn't really care about both of you but only with the reaction you do on their "favorite" anime. But the fact that you said you haven't been hyped and invested like this in a show goes to show (pun not intended) what show is peak entertainment. I hope you would still upload all 9 episodes even tho it doesn't give you the same viewership like your other contents.
