Life is not easy with or without a mate, may the Holy Spirit help us all in the situations we face

If you want more single men joining the mission field preach to parents, not simply to raise their sons to be responsible for carry on the family name and prestige, but first to be sons of God. Often in our culture (and passively from the pulpit) men are called to merely be good bread winners instead of spiritual leaders.

Ministry minded men fall into "the ministry" back home bc it's way easier than raising support and living without the deprivations of the foreign field. Women, meanwhile, are sidelined from "ministry" in most of evangelical Christianity in Western countries. Research would be great; however, this being likely the biggest reason is rather obvious and has been noted by many.

This one didn't have an intro song! Just another observation to throw into the mix.

-Not a big John Piper fan, BUT...... this is right on. I'm in the group he speaks of and can say he's right on. Men... just... don't... go. Also, they often REFUSE to go unless they find a wife first. In the Bible there were a few times when God used a woman to do what the men normally did..... should have been a rebuke to them bc they simply..... wouldn't do it. Or in the 1800's..... lots of women went bc the men just kind of..... sat still. I've met enough men wanting to "go on the mission field", and it's very clear by their reactions and expressions and body language that they will not go unless..... they have a woman.

Zeal is fine but unless its accompanied with knowledge it is futile

From my observation, Women have a much easier time raising funds and navigating relationships to financially sustain their ministries. Guys just know how to work harder or take a second job
