It's not because you still love them. All the emotions you went through during the relationship has left you trauma bonded, possibly suffering from PTSD. Depends how badly your mind suffered during the breakup. If you feel like you are stuck, you are trauma bonded. Go see a counsellor they will teach you how to process your feelings. You'll get there, just takes time and determination.

I'me experiencing the same emotions right now. A girl who recently left the place where I work without my initial knowledge. One of the most gut wrenching feelings I've ever had. I miss her so much, and cannot stop thinking about her. It's like her absence has made me realise how I really feel about her. All those random conversations and just her general way towards me. It's like it's all on my conscience, and feeling the need for her to at least know something about my feelings and that I was so sorry that she left. She wouldn't have to feel the same way I do, but just as long as she knew how I felt would be a big release of the anxiety and tension that's within me, I'me sure she'd figure out the rest.
