True. parents should do birth spacing so that children don't have to take care of other children. Personally i am a victim. I used to carry my younger sister nikiwa class four. Natoka shule, naenda kumchukua from my mum's work station, nambeba na mgongo hadi home which was a long distance. Nikifika kwa hao nimpikie and nifanye everything hadi mum akam home. Things are better now coz am grown up and have my own job but i feel that i was being a parent when i was supposed to be a kid. And for that reason i only want one child.

Highlighting on the issue of firstborns; most of them find themselves taking their parents responsibilities and sio kupenda' ni situation' coz when the parent is away you have to take care of the other siblings. In reality most of them even forget to nurture their relationships due to commitment in family responsibilities na wengi ni kujikuta sio kupenda. Thanks MK for the show. Monica you're very respectful in your approach. That in itself is very encouraging because of your youbg age. Keep it up. 💯 This story explains why many Kikuyu women are left with children by their husbands because of colonialism. Similar to those who were taken into slavery in the Americas. The destruction of the family by detention separation of men from women and children.

@@marym7552 important stages in life e. g dating pass you by as you concentrate in bringing up and educating your siblings. It is a very sad state of affairs because your siblings grow up and leave to make their homes /families and you realise time has passed you by and your age mates both men and women are all married. It becomes a race against time. How do you catch up?

I find those insisting for sub-titles irritating. Do you ask for English sub-titles for programmes broadcast in French, Japanese or Russian? The implication you are making is that Gikuyu, being an African language, is unintelligible. Yet this is a language which is understood by nearly 20 million people across Kenya. We have a right to our language, and if we have to put sub-titles we should put them in Kiswahili for our fellow Kenyans...........
