Gradual progression. That's the difference between SF6 and other fighting games. Much better matchmaking and modern controls gave casuals like me a chance to enjoy the game.

Street Fighter 6 has actual offline content. I have almost 500 hours in SF6 and not one second of those was spend on general online play.
@Nachtmahr61620 сағат бұрын
SF6 is the first time I'm having fun in a 2D fighter (5 was ok during the final stretch, but crap before the Champion edition imo). Never liked them, even as a kid, because I played VF2 and Tekken 2 in arcades first. I just hope they will tone down the drive rush spam. Maybe make it slower outside of combos or something.
@MaverickDallas219 сағат бұрын
Tekken will always be 1 (or a close 2) to me.

I hate the "World Tour" mode. It's so lifeless and monotonous that it would have been better if they hadn't made it. Another factor is that you create your own "avatar" character that doesn't add anything to the lore other than grotesque customizations with elongated limbs and giant heads.

SF6 is super beginner friendly, has great net code and large player base. But after 500 hours I've decided to take a break and play/do something else 😅

Speaking of cross play for some reason in egypt on pc when crossplay is enabled you get an error so you are forced to play against pc players only that problem was NOT in street fighter 5, its been a year since the release of 6 and this issue is still isnt fixed

Good. You pc players need to stay in a walled garden & play against each other & let us ps/xbox users fight each other 😂😂😂

i do think it’s also because most street fighter games don’t die fast like easier games like mortal kombat and it’s not as difficult learning like tekken
@MaverickDallas2Күн бұрын
It could be because I've been playing tekken since a young age, but I've always found tekken to be easier. I like Mortal Kombat 9 and X, but 11 made me not buy 1. I think another thing that contributes to mk falling off (addition to what you said) is that people have been conditioned into wanting a new game every 2 years.

@Shoto_Otaku11 сағат бұрын
SF6 is objectively better than SF4. The amount of content in the base game is more than the final product of USF4. If you want to say SF4’s gameplay is better and brought hypes moments in the FGC, than say that instead.
@alexnas963411 сағат бұрын
@@Shoto_Otaku Content in a game doesnt mean shit, ITS A FIGHTING GAME only thing matters is the gameplay and mechanics, thats why people still regard MVC2, SF3 third strike and USF4 as the best fighting games, SF6 is garbage compared to SF4 in gameplay and mechanics, in SF4 you have 1 frame links and FADC, in SF6 you got DI and DR, both are shit and having two metre gauges its kind of stupid

Capcom did the smart move. Focusing on new characters (Love Kimberly), more single player content, and an easier control option. By the end of SF6, it may go down as ONE of the best fighting games of all time.

I like that there are a variety of achievements you can do with your character. You can earn the kudos based titles, use them in ranked to get to master, theres a title you get for winning 100 fights with them online. I main ryu but i finally started messing with zangief in 6 and have had a blast with him.

I haven't gotten any progression or having fun with the game because I have not been getting matches. I bought an ethernet cable for this, changed internet service but it still sucks.
@MaverickDallas210 сағат бұрын
What region are you from? That could contribute to it. Maybe the course of action is to turn on worldwide if you don't have it on. Sometimes, the matches will be rough, but you'll get more matches that way.

Every time I play Smash Ultime I’m reminded how unfairly unbalanced the game is. I want to play SF6 so bad but I feel like a new comer I will just get wrecked hard. Is it fair and easy for newcomers?
@PepijnLindenКүн бұрын
Is it fair? Yes. Is it easy? Probably no. When it comes to fighting games, you're going to face a lot of people online who are better than you. Especially as a beginner, that's just how it is. You don't have to let that scare you away though, if you think you like the game or a certain character in the game. Go into the training room, practice some moves, go online and get your butt kicked. But if you managed to do the combo you practiced in an online fight YOU DID GOOD! The joy of fighting games is in the hard earned victories. If you want to play SF6 so bad, go do it. You'll get the hang of it soon enough.
@MaverickDallas2Күн бұрын
What @PepijnLinden said. Also, since SF6 is relatively popular, you are more than likely to find people at your skill level as opposed to someone who will completely destroy you. I won't say that doesn't happen, though. If you are playing Ranked, the rank up matches will be the hardest to win. But none of it is so overwhelming that you shouldn't pick up the game. Everyone learns at their own pace. Whether you lose or win, watch your replays. SF6 let’s you take control of your character during replays. It'll make it easier to learn from mistakes or see what you could've done differently. TL:DR; SF6 makes the steps easier to get better. You just have to take advantage of them.

There's always people online on ranked if you're in America. It's the first fighting game I took seriously and I'm master rank now. I started gold 3. Go for it bro. There's even modern controls which makes it feel like smash Bros. Get in there and have some fun

Honestly because it's new, Rather stick with V due to the characters but 6 has that suspense of characters due to it's current state and the beginner friendly aspect of it. Granted when I started playing it I preferred V because I was still used to it(still do). I think for me is I want to see what new and familiar faces emerge in this new era of Street fighter and hope they have a familiar style somehow.... I think...
@Harrytmik9 сағат бұрын
SFV was awful visually: childish cartoon like style, really small characters and lots of "empty space" on the screen. Also the V trigger was an awful mechanic; drive bar feels well rounded in terms of resource management and adds depth to the gameplay when you know it changes the frame data for better or worse depending on the situation. For me SF6 looks like a better successor of everything that brought SF4... Which is the game that revived the FGC and the competitive scene. At the end of the day it's all about personal preference, so let's enjoy what the game has to offer when it's still relevant
