Took me till I was 33 to get my diagnosis of endo. My periods were always incredibly painful. Bad enough that I generally spent at least one day a month unable to get out of bed. Spent my teens and 20's having doctors brush me off. I eventually just stopped talking about it. Wasn't till I ended up with chronic pain due to getting my tubes tied, that I finally got diagnosed with it. Took another two surgeries to deal with it. Am currently on medication to keep in under control. What angers me to much is that I feel lucky to have gotten the diagnosis when I did. If it wasn't for my husband being amazing and finding a fantastic gyno, I don't think I'd have gotten it. By the time I saw my gyno, I didn't even talk about painful periods. If she'd hadn't asked, I never would've said anything. By that point, I'd learned that doctors didn't take my pain seriously. I am forever grateful that she did.

I have a family member who has suffered from endometriosis otherwise I would not have known being a guy. It’s very real and life altering and I’m surprised it’s not discussed more.

I was 10 when my period started. I was in so much pain immediately. Bleeding severely, throwing up, very sick for 2-3 wks out of the month. It took forever to diagnose my endometriosis. I’ve been on continuous birth control to stop my periods & never been happier!! I’m 45 now & not dealing with my period has been a blessing. I don’t have kids unfortunately cause of this. It’s not normal to suffer so horribly. I missed school etc every month. 3 laparoscopic surgeries. I’m glad this is being spoken about cause maybe more women will get help & not suffer for longer than they have to.

Adenomyosys is less talked about. I didn't know the term before diagnosed. When is that time of the month some woman go through a lot of pain that nobody understands. I can't anymore I'm considering total hysteroctomy . I've got 4 kids so..... 😢

I finally gave up fighting with all the issues (adeno, endo, fibroids, polyps, crazy pain and periods), and just had a total hysterectomy (kept my ovaries) at age 48. I am only a three weeks post op, but shocked by how good my whole body felt almost immediately, and not just my pelvic area. I feel less brain fog, way better mood, much less joint pain, chronic rhinitis is gone, and energy has shot up despite my chronically low iron. I 100% believe there is a systemic impact, not just pelvic pain and periods. I am glad there is a trend towards more research for women's conditions. Thank you for sharing the info with the world!

I'm trans and I've had a host of physical ailments in the pelvic region and doctors told me they had no idea why. I got a hysterectomy as a part of my transition and the surgeon found and removed endometriosis during the surgery. A few months later and a lot of my symptoms have greatly improved. Transitioning literally saved my quality of life. It shouldn't have been that way. Doctors should have taken my pain seriously instead of just writing me off as someone seeking pain meds.

I'm 28 and about to have my third surgery for endometriosis. It took from age 9 to 18 to be diagnosed. My doctors kept saying that killer cramps, blood loss requiring IV fluids, ripping pain with bowel movements, projectile vomiting, fainting from pain, blacking out from pain, weightloss, looking like I was 9 months pregnant from bloating being so severe, headaches,etcetera were all normal. Before my first, second now third surgery it hit a point where pain was during ovulation, prior to my period, during my period, and immediately after my period. All three times now my pain has hit a level where with or without pain medication I can't stay awake for more than a few hours at a time when I keep pushing off sleep I end up passing out or collapsing. For me personally I also have Ehlers-danlos syndrome and postural orthostatic tachy cardia syndrome which are drastically worsened by my endometriosis flair ups and impact some of my symptoms. If you're newly diagnosed my best advise is to push for pelvic floor physical therapy preferably by a practitioner used to working with endometriosis and who specializes in pelvic floor physical therapy & do 'internal work'. Try birth control if it's recommended but keep up with how it makes you feel in other ways because if you're like me it may make you feel so much worse in other ways that it isn't worth it. There are now medications for endometriosis specifically and I recommend inquiring about them, although for me it didn't help enough to be worth it. Use a pain scale like the indianna polyclinic combined pain scale so that you give highly consistent pain scores and can easily explain how the pain impacts you and what else hurts to that extent ie a 1 is what a bruise feels like or a 10 is a ruptured organ. Lastly figure out the most accurate description of your pain possible, even if it is a graphic disturbing description. The PG version of my description is that my insides feel like meat being shredded with sharpened forks. The actual description i was asked by a physician to not give them or anyone else because it's extremely disturbing so I feel it would be inappropriate to share here.

I was diagnosed only when my endometriosis was at stage 4, which required a surgical procedure! What cured me post surgery, was really examining everything I used on my body and my environment that could be absorbed by my bloodstream, eliminating creams, anti perspirants, toxic cleaning products, soy milks, soy products, eating a proper breakfast (eggs, sourdough breads, yogurt, avoiding acidic juices or any type of raw black coffee), making sure my body ph was « alkaline », drinking nettle tea helped to heal me, no medical doctor will explain this to you.

I got an incidental diagnosis at 27 during abdominal surgery. "You *do* have endometriosis - it's speckled all over your organs." I had experienced debilitating cramps since the start of my periods at 11 and my doctors always shrugged it off. I've since started testosterone hrt, which seems to have slowed endomitosis lesion growth, based on how infrequently I experience that pain. *But because of the abysmal state of medical research for women & trans people*, my doctors can't confirm if that's the case. We need more research.

They were martyred in this war. My family and now I'm alone without a father. Today, I make this appeal to you from among the rubble and destruction, my brothers. I live under difficult circumstances, an unjust siege, and a blind war that destroyed my city in which I live, and my home that houses my children’s dreams. Today, I found myself living on top of the ruins of my home in a tent no more than a few meters long, with me and my four children. This is a very difficult thing that no human being can bear. I live in very difficult conditions without food, water, and flour due to the siege, and we drink water. Polluted due to lack of money and my children’s fear of war, and now I am asking for help and assistance in order to restore the smile of life to my children, and I am in dire need of your contribution in order to rebuild my house that was demolished, and I ask (00970598482709)To donate, WhatsApp wrote to you these short words that do not express a little of the pain and wounds that we are experiencing in Gaza, and I write these words to you while tears do not leave my eyes from the pain and cruelty of life. I hope that you will be supporters of my cause in all parts of the world and the ugliness of the injustice that we live in every day, but every minute. We lose loved ones every day. And do not forget the difficulty of life in a small tent that does not exceed a few meters. God was a protector for us from the heat of summer and the cold of winter in the tent, and today all my dreams are to drink a drop of cold, clean water in the summer and feed my children. Praise be to God in any case, this is God’s command. Note: I have a child who is sick in the eye, and he is forbidden by the doctor’s prescription from high heat and sunlight. How can he be in a very hot tent? Therefore, I ask you to help me in maintaining my house. @haniforever
@haniforever Ай бұрын
@@nomadiclapse It’s no brainer that male circumcision has hygiene benefits and lower risk of getting STI, UTI and certain diseases. I can’t say the same for females only that it reduces libido or sensitivity (which I think is the intention too) and that’s the mild procedure as opposed to the extreme ones which is just too much to even speak of. It certainly doesn’t compare so I understand why one is legal and the other is not.
