To me arranged marriages should be merely an introduction and nothing more if there is no fit just split. It shouldn't be relatives/family nagging you to marry this person. Lot of times love doesn't develop at all. All this arranged marriages rarely end in divorce is because the idea of divorce is taboo . Yes the the practice of arranged marriage has changed and there are matches that work but not always. I don't think marrying someone you have not met like in the old days can work today.

Being able to have a choice is better but there is nothing bad about arrange marrige as long as u are not being forced into it. People should have some time to beable to know abit about each other and the timing should be rigth for both
