I consistently get 100k-500k+ plays per post on Instagram posting Reels of live performances. The trick is to edit a good video loop to increase the repeat views and put labels directly on the video with the song and artist name. Add a few hashtags that you think you can rank in like # acoustic # bluesguitar # rockband... I look through the discovery pages of hashtags before I use them to see how the videos ranking using those tags are doing in views. And I also look at the other hashtags a successful post is using. You want to make sure your videos have good audio and good visuals too. Bright (tones) and clear (high video quality) videos tend to retain viewer attention the longest.

I have slowly noticed the changes in Instagram algorithm since the end of last year, and now I see why. I actually prefer this version of the algorithm. It rewards quality work and authentic engagement over content consistency, which may not always be easy for artists, especially if the artist is too busy to be constantly around online, and if the artist is a highly sensitive introvert who quickly gets overwhelmed with online overstimulation . . . like me xD Our job as artists is to create and be creative. We should not be pressured to always be distracted, or worse become drained, by having to be social in our platforms all the time for the sake of staying relevant.

Tips for growing your art account- 1. Tag all the necessary and active art hashtags. 2. Click clear and aesthetically pleasing pictures. 3. Try polls, questions options on the instagram stories so that people respond to it and you can increase your reach. 4. Dm your art posts to the ones who are relevant to the post for eg, send bookmarks post to book lovers ( personal experience ), this works. 5. Be consistent. 6. Make reels, they can legit blow up your account. 7. Ask people regularly for suggestions via stories or posts. The public will be more interested to watch your content if you make what they like. 8. In the beginning send small inexpensive hampers to your favourite friends, constant supporters and let them know the quality of products you have. They might also promote your work. 9. Look out for free featuring pages. Dm them your favourite or relevant artworks. 10. Save and share your artwork. Save it from all your accounts as well as ask others to save it. 11. Mention your favourite artists or the ones that inspire you on instagram. They might repost your story. 12. Send hampers that have your products to your favourite influencers. You will reach a larger audience. 13. Have a bio that makes sense and if you are open for commissioned work, don't forget to mention it. Thank you for your constant support guys. I too have an art account. @fingers_artistic on Instagram. If you like it, do share. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
