Why Ash Stopped Using Old Pokémon

Charizard, Heracross, Swellow, Sceptile, Infernape, Krookodile, Greninja, and all of his Alola mons. (Yes, Swellow as well; despite not being an ace, that bird is strong as hell for the feats it did, like stopping a Donphan with its bare talons)

It's so infuriating when the writers did not let Ash have at least one starter_Pokemon from the Galar region along with having a full team of Pokémon from that region

The problem is that Ash is a Champion and by giving Ash a new starter post Alola would have been seen as a downgrade to his skills. Worst of all, if Ash was given a new starter and it was made an ace, it could have been a straight up copy of a predecessor starter.

He turns it down because they've gotten him that point Pikachu is his main man from the current team and he did it with the helping from Pikachu fresh air with the challenge Listen I know we all wanted the OG team but it could make it easier to have a newer team

It was because of the producers along with the writers for not thinking clearly for not letting ash using his older pokemon that could have helped ash win leagues thwt he should have won even helped his new pokemon get stronger, learn new moves, and even evolved. But the producers along with the writers keep ash from using his older pokemon, only using his new pokemon some of which didn't get much development, making ash only bring Pikachu to every new region, making ash forget about his past experience from his adventures, and making him lose in every league in the region ones that he should have won!

What would have happened if the writers let Ash use his previous Pokémon during Pokémon Journeys which isn't different from him catching Pokémon from regions which he already Travelled in? I think he should have used Charizard since it's his best Pokémon next to Pikachu

I truly respect Ash but probably the reason his Old Pokèmon probably couldn't help Ash win the Champions of Aloha and Journeys probably Charizard could have helped but I didn't know.

In johto, after the first gym leader, he stop using charizard but then it make comeback in the johto league, maybe because he want to develop all of his pokemon equally Just like when we put our strongest pokemon on the PC when tried to training the weaker one Also if Ash want to use his old pokemon in JN, then he wont catch any new pokemon to develop with, even if Ash catch clauncher, we wont see any screen time of this pokemon

Well it could be said is due to the writers, it can also is so the company is able to promote the newest pokemons. And finally if Ash keep using his older pokemons he wouldn't have much challenges unless is against very powerful trainers.

He has all three starters from Kanto and johto. Nothing against Pikachu, but writers could do a better job. It's always pikachu that comes through when in a bind.
