Thank you Wootak for being disagreeable, strong-minded and speaking out about your own thoughts and feelings! Your opinions are very worthwhile and valuable. I think that’s obviously how a podcast should be hosted, but it’s so much better to hear the honest opinions and your justifications. You guys all do such a great job. Thank you all for such a fantastic production.

That little non-verbal conversation between Wootak, Jeremy and Viet when Esther said the person who was supposed to support her didn’t got me replaying that scene like 5 times because there is clearly spicy tea behind that story but no one said a word, they just kept giving each other side glances and trying not to laugh hahahaha (1:15:07)

Guys you have love bombing wrong. It's a tool narcissists use, it doesn't mean showing extra effort and romance at the first few months of a relationship. It's also not love bombing to put consistent effort in to continuing to "date" your partner after being in a relationship for a while. It's the Hallmark of a great relationship to not stop showing them you love them and care.

Participation ribbons are definitely fine for elementary age. Its just to reward all the kids who are engaging in activities that are not required of them! Its just trying to encourage them to do more. And that isnt going to rob them of wanting to do better, cause every kid of course loves to win lol

I normally disagree with Brando on a bunch of different topics but the participation award sentiment I understand because in adolescence the joy of the game comes first then the pursuit of excellence, everyone wants to be the best and very few are, this shouldn't minimize the achievement of kids who work and genuinely try hard at the game, if we only acknowledge the best, statistically few people would every be awarded, this doesn't even mention factors related to the coach, the sport, the interpersonal dynamics on team sports or personality psychology of the child. We all get 1st place at being ourselves.

1:37:11 nah I agree with Brando, he’s right no kid who’s 5-10 is gonna be thinking “oh wow my dad is awesome for not gifting me but gifting my brother because he finished brushing his teeth before me” that instance would bring unnecessary constant competition in that relationship and yes it would discourage them. Kids aren’t mentally developed enough to understand the concept of preparation for the long run, they’re in fact extremely impressionable so it would just psychologically mean to them that they aren’t good enough as their peers. (although wootak’s mentality makes sense, it would only make sense in adulthood or close to adulthood years, at a developmental age is what I’m trying to get at) however for participation awards, they get a pat on the back for trying, therefore encouraging them to work harder to get a hug next time (greater reward) and THAT is how you encourage impressionable kids to work harder, since that’s when they at their own will strive to compete with themselves, or push themselves harder should I say. it all varies from a person’s will power, I’d understand in an instance where someone grows up spoon fed all their lives and become expectant but, to children rather than a sense of entitlement it’s a form of encouragement.

Love ur content! I discovered the podcast a little over a week ago and have went on a massive binge. I think the favorite food one is a good idea. Here are some ideas for the pod since u guys asked (just throwing them out there): -games (cards, boardgames, or those cards w personal questions), tho idk if it would work for ur setup - I thought the trivia episode was fun so maybe another trivia - maybe some old school truth or dare, never have I ever, etc. - or u can each do like facts, quotes, or statements, and try to guess who said what - maybe u guys can do some sort of competitions since I noticed some of u guys are competitive lol. These r just off the top of my head, maybe more will come later. Sorry for the long comment. Love u guys, stay awesome!💕

tbh my 2 Asian exes were so stoic and did not know how to express themselves or didn't feel comfortable doing it - or being silly or anything. made a lot of sense when i met their families... no physical or verbal affection, no joking with their parents or even aunts or uncles, it was just always serious and quiet. very opposite of my Mexican/Brazillian family where we hug each family member, I dance with my parents and take shots with them, say I love you, joke with them (even inappropriate jokes lol), sing to loud music, etc. My Asian partners tho were easily overwhemled and overstimulated, i guess. where I was just hella anxious around their families - where I felt like I just had to sit and stay quiet and just talk here and there... it was too tame and monotone, idk how to explain it, it was too quiet and unnerving - very very just formal... my only Asian partners I ever been with or hooked up with were my 2 exes - the others being mainly being Latino and Black

on the participation trophies devil's advocate argument, the encouragement on being involved in sports should come in other areas too. it's okay to take out the team for pizza and ice cream, win or lose imo. the trophies should be reserved to those who overcame the most, as a part of how competition works that's usually the ones who won at all stages.

I think that book theory is only apt if the person is shallow to begin with, in which case they're not someone I'd consider datable to begin with. I'm not sure about men, or even other women for that matter, but I've definitely gotten to know someone who I considered average, or not my ideal, who I later found sexy as hell once I got to know them. All that being said, if you've been out on enough dates to know you have absolutely no sexual chemistry or attraction, it's a valid reason to go your separate ways. I know some people might argue that if everything else about the relationship is ideal, then leaving for that alone is stupid. The reality though is that for most relationships, intimacy is an integral part of the relationship, without it, eventually you'll end up resentful towards that person anyway.

But also I'm a butt girl, slender up top and after spending years with a boob guy, for sure, when we broke up I realised that relationship made me feel inadequate body wise. Even though he loved me for what my body was like. I'd just notice subtle things that made me feel sh*t for having smaller tits. Not the case whatsoever now I'm with a butt guy who loves absolutely all of me... So nah, I agree with Esther. Gotta be careful if you are the opposite of someone's body type.

Participation awards 🤔 I think there should be an age limit on that. Kindergarten (age 5-6) should be the end, because if kids are constantly told they need to do better, it hurts their confidence/drive very early and it can get worse as they get older. Let them have at least 1 little win in between. That may be their only "trophy" or proof they didn't quit 😁

I once heard someone say that truly rich men might actually love gold diggers bc goldiggers work towards a relationship only for the fact that the man has money & can provide financial freedom. So truly rich men, that know they'll always have money to provide, would love to have a gold digger bc his physical characteristics don't matter as he gets older (and a goldigger would do everything to stay hot/sexy as long as he provides no matter her age) & they both have a similar mindset of wanting wealth & living a certain lifestyle... so now I live by that & think most ppl who complain about gold diggers don't actually have gold diggers, just materialistic/shit partners

I feel like the part about being obvs attracted enough to be on the date in the first place is my answer. I think a lot of us believe we have a standard type we go for, but in reality feelings are feelings and when you love someone or want to be with someone theyre already perfect to you. This is at least my take on it personally! I think if I was on a date and got asked that I would feel like they were either super insecure or not into me. I agree with Viet id be out of there lol.
