But God created the planets and the sun and the moon and astrolgers basically look at the planets and see how they are placed and will influenece people in some way.

God did create these things, but not to be worshipped.

@@olykanoli But what if you look at astrology but don't worship planets. I worship Allah. Many muslim scholars looked at the planets and sun and moon to learn things from. So I don't understand why it is haram.

@@OtiBetri Yes, they used the stars to assist them in navigating around the world. Before GPS they used the stars for that reason. That is why 210 visible stars have Arabic names. Is is not wrong to use them in that regard. But to associate partners with Allah is shirk which you know is a big no no sin. That's why you have to remind yourself that it is no "spiritual" or predictive element to them. Other than that you can admire them. May Allah make it easy for us both! Have a blessed day OtiBetri.

@@olykanoli Thankyou. I have been learning about vedic astrology for 2 years now. And I know a lot about it. I like to read about it a lot. But I understand that it is haram so I will stop. But can I ask is my prayer now not going to get accepted? Just because I learned about astrology.

@@OtiBetri First and foremost Allah knows best and knows your intentions were of curiosity and learning. As long as you are alive you can always ask Allah for forgiveness and mercy! Never lose hope in the most forgiving and most merciful. Your prayers InShaAllah will be accepted! Now that you know to recalibrate your thinking it means you are now informed and will be judged accordingly! I tend to see it as a level up moment! May Allah reward you for your knowledge and ability to seek out guidance and the truth! 😊

hi i have a question, my mom signed me up for a horoscope analysis a few days ago, and this woman she's also muslim, did the analysis, I kinda knew it was not really halal before but I had to anyways. Is it still considered shirk ? because I dont actually believe what she had said, although some stuff were accurate, I just see it as a coincidence
@olykanoli5 күн бұрын
Hey @Bs_scafe, so our religion of Islam is perfect, but we are not. We all sin or do things that are wrong. We are imperfect, sinners, and it can be due to our own ignorance of the matter. It is not considered shirk if you knew in your heart and the intention that this is wrong. As much as you can, now that you know and feel wrong about it, have the conversation to make sure you don't enter those circles. Also remember Allah (Swt) is the most merciful and the forgiver, so just talk to Allah and ask forgiveness. The horoscope predictions, can seem to have "truth" but only due to us humans ascribing meaning to what is told to us. We always have to remember we are in control of our lives with free will, and Allah (swt) is the source of everything in the universe so only rely on Allah. I'd say to sit down and talk to your mom about how you're not comfortable with this and explain why. May Allah reward you on this path of knowledge and bless you and your family with ease and positivity coming into Ramadan. 😁

Sir what is mentioned in Quran about astrology
@olykanoli9 ай бұрын
Bismillah. So within the Quran astrology, stars, and celestial bodies are mentioned multiple times in various parts of the Quran. There is the 85th Surah of the Quran that talks about zodiacal signs/constellations. Here is a site that talks about it with references as well. I hope this helps! www.alhakam.org/what-does-islam-say-about-zodiac-signs-and-do-celestial-bodies-have-any-effects/

It's Haram?😭
@olykanoli8 ай бұрын
@@RasidaSandigan Yea, the only thing we rely on is Allah. Using celestial bodies, stars, and their locations to our personality traits, life outcomes, and daily horoscopes puts you in danger of committing shirk which is having partners with Allah which is Haram. It is okay if you're just learning this now! Allah does not punish us for our own ignorance, just focus on Istighfaar and moving forward InShaAllah :)

The Barnum effect is "the tendency to accept certain information as true, such as character assessments or horoscopes, even when the information is so vague as to be worthless." It is easy to conform to these traits or readings due to how broad it is. You are in control and can focus on the traits you want to improve on!
