This is a super schizo reach but I think that maybe Eren and Ymir were related in the far past, before the timeloops began. Most likely she would have been his original mother. This would explain the: - "To you in 20,000 years" , the 2000 years is one timeloop, while the 20000 years are all the timeloops combined from the actual start of the first timeloop with Eren's original birth -Eren and Ymir both having grey/silver eyes in the manga (you can see her grey eyes in the movie comic poster Yams drew himself), and blue eyes in the anime. (Ik Eren's eyes are inconsistent) -Them looking somewhat similar, they are literally mirrored reverse versions of each other, white/.blondish hair, black/brownish hair, female/male, white/beige clothes, black/grey clothes, angel/devil, slave/freedom fighter, mute/screams his lungs out, altruistic/selfish. It would be cool if the biggest freedom fighter in history was the son of the biggest slave in history. An "angel" giving birth to a "devil". Eren representing her desire for freedom. And the reverse of all this in ANR when she's born as his daughter. Ymir creating Eren starts the story, Eren creating Ymir ends the story. It would also mean that Eren would get his mom back, the original incident that set him on this path. It could definetly be worked into the story... I think it would be peak symbolism... But who knows...?

Watch and analyse frame by frame (I tend to put related concepts next to eachother) e.g. at 13:43, watch at 0.25x and realise the imagery used to parallel Eren and Historia with the Hooded Devil and Apple Girl (there are two devils, be not confused) with the lamps, posing, pay attention to shots of shadows and or candles as well... Alternatively, just search for AOE theories online (e.g. Angriff Zur Wahrheit Muv Luv theory, ANR theory) also look through other AOT content (e.g. Lost Girls anime AND manga, School Castes previews, music videos, songs, Junior High), this video is more of a compilation montage for those who know. r/ANRime is the main Reddit for discussing them

My theory was always that Isayama had been influenced to change the ending by a larger authority. Sure, its your average conspiracy theory, but the implications of a story where global genocide is the conclusion, would leave a cautionary tale with humanity that would last till our last days. Especially with the current conflict in the Middle East, I feel like, had Isayama completed his ending, it would've left a message that may have been TOO impactful for the general audience. The dangers of standing aside during an open genocide, condoning, and even supporting it, will only result in the eventual devastation of the oppressor. So I never really blamed Isayama for complying with authority and scrapping the ending at the point where they realised where it was heading, while also writing out his planned ending slowly from the anime and giving us the half-baked mediocre brainless ending that we have as of now with the anime and manga. I hope, for all our sakes, that this video is correct, and his theory is true. Youve gained a new supporter my brother 🙏.

general theory is that itll be similar to a muv luv situation. If you're unaware, isayama has gone on record to say he "ripped off" a series called muv luv. Muv luv is a series that had alternate timeloops/endings. When muv luv initially ended, a while later something called muv luv supplement dropped and it had teases for muv luv alternative. Since we are getting shingeki no fly , an AOT artbook, in spring of this year , its thought that the artbook may have teases for an alternative ending. The form the new ending could take is something no one really knows. it could be a manga, a movie, or a new anime style release. If there truly is nothing in spring when the artbook drops, ill check myself into an insane asylum. Till then we keep hoping

Oh, and if in a year from now you guys are still clinging on to this, then nothing more will need to be said. As it stands now, you’re clearly wrong.
