Foreign students from Asia come to Australia to work not to study! Most of them don't pay taxes and work illegally. Chinese students work at Asian massage parlours and brothels and pay no taxes. Some work in their apartments (just check the Locanto personal service ads). Some Indian students work in Car wash places and don't go to school!

Students come from sub continents , they come here to work not for studies. Most of them come here on tourist visa, join private school, pay a small fee but dont turn up for studies. For e.g taxi drivers, petrol pump stations , security service , the immigration should check this first . Also find out how much in cash they bring into the country . The government should crack down illegal students entering the country

Well I think India's education is better than Australia. Here the course is worth less than a year but is purposely extended for 2 years, just to make more money. Only 4 classes per week is waste of time.

Dont cap number of students, just remove work visa guarantee after studies! This way if students want to learn from your education system then only they will come, because right now those who want to work and settle in your country are only coming. Even better is to make a new visa for students to study only and they cant work part time even and cant stay in the country after education.

When you can employ them below minimum wage, they are pretty much guaranteed employment anyway. E.g. rideshare and delivery drivers. There is not enough Australians willing to do the work and getting paid as low as they are now 😔

@@martintjiong2246 I was talking about students who are a rich and just want to study in foreign country and then come back to work in father's buisness. They might not want to work part time during education or after. This will save the seats for those who want to work. I have seen this in rich families like film actors children/politician/ultra rich going abroad to study and then coming back, it's not the case for just India but everywhere in the world. I would say make it super easy for them to study.

For those who have arrived in five eyes countries, good luck! For those who are still on the way, you have to stay to in own country and figure out what to do. Since there are too many immigrants in those countries which cause a lot of problems such as higher property prices and poor employment market, even at the end you try everything and arrive there, the situation is not as good as your expectations.

It’s not about your nationality…or racism, do the math please, we have a housing crisis and our own citizens aren’t able to find housing. The majority of students don’t come to Australia to study, but to work illegally, be honest in your report Mint…..if you come here to learn then fine, accept the fact that you will leave afterwards, but coming here to work and being dishonest about it no matter where you come from takes the homes and jobs away from those that actually are legal citizens. This is what really annoys me, respect for citizens of the country that you visit is paramount, regardless of who you are…..

Please note the USD28 billion figure is complete garbage, it is due to the Australian Bureau of Statistics counting any money spent in Australia by a foreign student as an "export" even if the money they spend was earned by working in Australia. If you look at the money remittance figures instead it shows that foreign students are sending back much more to India than they ever bring into Australia.

Forever taking in students was a part of trade deal .. now how come people and government acting like poor people were cheated. It will be dair to say that they took in students till it suited their economy and now that their economynis not asnprosperous asnit was and they dont even have jobs.. why intake the students. Its seems fair to do that. But common people acting as if they thought they were providing education to the world is a bit too much. Students always went to these countries to learn earn and settle . Pretty bad news for INDIAN students. Who does not have the chance of a good education in India's shitty educational system. Indian students deserves good education... Should look for other destinations. Australian government should increase quality visa screening process. But should not add such cap. Only people's from some north states in India are dying to go for foreign countries and they do cheating. Australian government should only make stricter for those States.
