Zimbabwe then West Indies then New Zealand then someone else. I think 99% of the times the bails should be designed in a way where they are extremely light and come off. But in some cases if it doesn’t that should go in favor of the batsmen

If there is enough curve on the wicket the end of the bails can sit comfortably without the breeze blowing it away. A spring inside that pushes the bails in the air upon the balls contact with the wicket would also be pretty cool.

Cummins has the 5th highest all-time ICC Test bowling ranking. If you were constructing an all-time XI he'd be considered. So to say we need to wait is irrelevant, he has achieved greatness already. Maybe some analytical perspective would help this discussion.

You cant compare eras..check the batting average scores during McGrath era and now on Cummins era...pitches have been changed to be more bowler friendly pitches now..so for me McGrath to do that when batting averages were high is remarkable

@@katana_3558 a fair point, but the rankings consider that, it's not just comparing averages. Rankings also consider strength of opposition so easy wickets aren't given the same weight. And McGrath is ranked the same as Cummins, 914. Yes batting averages have changed, there is a good argument that there should be a batting average +, a way to show the strength of an average vs the other top 6 batsmen (if you follow baseball it's OPS+). My guess is you'd see that say 42 in the 70's is relatively better than it looks in raw form.

You know who among the big 3 went to most countries during pandemic. It is India. They have been the most responsible team amongst the big 3. Off course Pakistan is an exception and that tour can't be possible. But they are touring the epicenter of omicron sa. When sa board needed funds. Last year australian board was on its knees and requested Indian tour they went there. Bcci could have sat quite as they have enough money to survive couple of years of pandemic. The decision of touring is easy for countries like pak Sri Lanka or sa as they have no other option.
