I can relate to Mindy's unnecessary lies and the odd satisfaction she gets from them. Years ago I asked my cousin who lives far away about a mutual friend named Jason in his neighborhood. My cousin tells me he was in an accident and had one of his big toes amputated and now walks with a limp and his demeanor is just not the same. He had been a great soccer player and all-round good guy so I was heartbroken to hear about this. This was in the years just before Facebook and social media made it easy to connect with people, so I had been on the phone with several friends asking if they had heard anything about Jason and the tragic accident he endured and hoped he was doing alright. Nearly a year later, after I had spread this story to perhaps a dozen people literally all over the country, out of nowhere my cousin says one day, "Yeah, that never happened to Jason. I haven't seen him in a while and just made it all up." He was more than a little pleased with himself.

But the story was even faker and I was so dumb the first time I believed it... And then I would tell other people It was true and have him tell the story... And I realized when I did that by the smile. And he got on his face and the amount of ridiculous detail he began To tell that I was the mark... I love Conan, but this video has nothing to do with BJ Novak being left out other than not getting an internship that has nothing to do with literally the office. If you want to say he was left out. He was in very few scenes and he was also a writer on the show, his character was not meant to be on the camera as much. He should only be on a few times because he is the temp. Later in the show he ended up getting a lot more screen time when he is taking Jan‘s job but also he and and kelly really are just going at it all the time in the annex when he comes back after having a bunch of problems with the drugs and working at the bowling alley and the Michael Scott paper company he really doesn’t do much, he falls through the cracks a lot. His character could’ve gotten higher hopes maybe just stayed in New York that would’ve been a good spot for him. I think also they tried to make him feel a little bit more like Facebook because of that generation, and when that time was coming in Facebook was rising, what is ironic is that Instagram and Snapchat did not exist yet. I think his character could’ve done more but they let it be as is again he also probably shouldn’t have left the show following kelly. It made no sense just bringing him back for cameos in the end of the of the show. Lastly, if I may say when they did the final Stage interview with all everybody they should’ve brought back 100%. I like the surprise but they should’ve brought them back. Also Angela should not have missed. Also Ryan and kelly should’ve been there. They made huge impact on the show Kelly’s biggest impacts were when she slaps Micheal for him being racist towards people, also her moments of helping with customer service and Diwali she’s a good character and she deserved more. Ryan was a good character and deserved more. A young man trying to make it in the world as a businessman and living that young millennial life eventually trying to work hard and make a difference and trying to be the new Mark Zuckerberg
