I feel like Bandit is sad because maybe he faced the death of someone he knows and he's a little upset that he couldn't do anything, like bingo with the stikbird. This is my theory, I hope it works for you, thanks for the content you make.

I think bandit is sad because of the phrase in takeaway “Flowers may bloom again, but a person never has a chance to be young again”, possibly hinting that Bluey and Bingo would one day start a family of their own, making Bandit and Chilli be all alone Edit: It has been a month and I’m trying my best to try and fit all of the clues together. It has to be something about work. Maybe his first ever document of the first ever dog to walk upright accidentally got torn or got sucked up by a vacuum.

I think the critic of that note was just center in the first part of the season 1, up until that point the show haven't talked about issues. Up until third season the show has tackle a lot of things, only missing the sexual diversity which i think they may take the MLP route.

Dog breeds aren’t really seen as different races in the universe They’re talking about more; like diversity of diagnosis (like adhd with that one kid playing army) or disability, or even in something as simple as a kid with two moms or dads We see single parents thriving, single child households vs super muilti child households, we’ve even gotten hints of born sterile and fertility issues effects. It’s got a good set of diverse and strong daily issues and differences of one family’s vs another’s version of normal, but that doesn’t mean we should be scared of the choice to include more

From how Bandit looked at the kids who to the stick and how he was relating to Bingo I think the same thing happened to him at his job. Like he may have found something as a archaeologist and got ahead of himself and ran to tell others while a colleague of his found it not knowing it was Bandit discovery but Bandit didn’t say anything because he was a good like that but it still upset him.

A bit late on the theory train, but I do want to mention that on the last scene when bandit was collecting his upset and anger he was staring straight at the screen, almost like a direct message. And when he threw the troubles away, the *camera* (or viewers) were being thrown into the ocean. Considering Stickbird was based off of a real life situation the creator went through and the line that was added in later, I do believe that this was just a way for the creator to share his feelings in a subtle way, and to "throw" his troubles away. Ofcourse, this is just my interpretation, and many other people have made multiple great theories that I do feel can also be the reason. But all of this is just meant to be for interpretation and is just meant to teach kids a good way to deal with negative emotions.

My guess was way off I was actually focusing on bandits actual feelings and didn’t think it was 4th wall break my thought was it had to do with someone passing away like grandpa bob but other people told me that wouldn’t be the case if chili said let it go with a smile so someone else said bandit is a archeoligist and probably got a bad review. For Bandit I'd say a boss/colleague took credit for his hard work. Whether a discovery or paper etc Very well known superiors or coworkers will do anything to get themselves more recognition. It's unfair. But in reality, even though it was wrong and justice should be served, it won't, and holding on to it will only spoil his soul to hold onto the negative feelings. Additional lessons should be preventing someone from doing this to you, standing up for yourself/not being a doormat. Documentation

Having one of the criticisms being “a lack of diversity” in a cartoon dog show is kinda wild. Not only are there multiple breeds, there’s a deaf kid, an autistic kid (from what I’ve heard), and the simple fact that Bandit and Chili aren’t traditional parents (Bandit is home more than Chili) can be considered diverse. I feel like that’s pretty diverse. Also, I didn’t think Bandit’s sadness was a 4th wall break at first, I figured something he made at work didn’t go over well.
