Hola 📽️ "Hold on to your Dreams" Vanessa 🥰 Bring on your dazzling disco 💃 moves !!! , Your Barbie cars so cute I wasn't expecting to like this as much as I did , it's the kinda of movie your girlfriend drags you along to but your glad you did , a escapist fantasy you can just have fun with or something deeper that sparks up a meaningful conversation. Little girls need inspirational role models to play with , imagining they can be anything they set there heart on being. Margot performance struck just the right balance between all the ridiculous satire & heartfelt sincerely. The sets looked amazing & refreshing with no cgi in sight , it's like a utopia ( eden) with no clutter or trash anywhere , it has that 50 's suburban vibe but not to scale , the dream houses were built without walls so the actors had to be attached to wires so they didn't topple out of bed etc , maybe you noticed there's only one purple house with leaves growing out, maybe you know there's a real life Malibu dollhouse you can stay at ? I liked that they used hand painted backdrops , reminds me of old technicolour musicals , a work of art. Great Gerwig ( director & writer) really delved into Barbie's outfits history , the 2001 parody went back to 59. Ken stole the show with those hilarious moments , it takes real talent to bring a bland doll to life , your right I do recall some fuss at the time that it's promoting toxic masculinity but he's only trying to find his way & his charm shines through , ha those poses , how come the Ken's are always getting sidelined & the Barbie's prefer there own company but i like how he eventually wises up about what Barbie needs. When it comes to flat feet , it does seem painful & more common than I knew , yeah high heels are sexy but they must hurt like hell , cowboy boots being the exception , that scene at Venice beach where they dressed up 🤠 was a nod to midnight cowboy , I liked your dad's hat it's stylish, i can't believe we used to roller blade looking like that back in the 90 's , most of the jokes weren't planned they came up with them on the spot like ken reading a book on 🐴 margot give it to him off sett , they misspelled kendom salloon sign the first time , there's plenty of easter eggs & guffs that can easily be missed , no one's gonna get the sistine chapel on a tea cup ,I liked that clever reference to the shining in the car. Sasha with the girls at the school scene were made up as Bratz dolls as a rivel to Barbie. A little more trivia , the only song playing on the radio in Barbie's land was close to fine by the indigo girls , it's all about searching for life philosophical questions. Barbie early hairstyle a nod to the famous french film Umbrellas of Cherbourg. I've enjoyed the first part so far , it's touching how much your willing to open up your heart with us , your wise beyond your years , sorry about going through that guys can be such immature jerks , just brush it off , they haven't learnt how to treat a lady , pay no mind there not worth it , go easy on yourself , what doesn't break you makes you stronger , we've got this like you say. I agree with the narrator (Dame Helen Mirren) that Margot Robbie, as an actress, was a bit too good looking to be in the role of Barbie. At least the filmmakers were self aware enough to understand that Robbie is preternaturally gorgeous and can't possibly represent all women. 😅
