I am convinced the reason why your channel is so popular is because watching our favorite movies with you is like being your friend, or what I imagine it would be like.❤ Thank you for your hilarious commentary and mature empathetic response to this film. As a woman I so appreciate that you get it. I came to your channel for your Jurassic Park videos and am staying for the rest. 👍🏼🔥

You know who you are, you know what you stand for and what you believe in and that's just that. Ain't nobody gonna bring you down. Plus you're just a fun reactor to watch. But being a good person with a good spirit and a love for all kinds of people... that just makes the watching more enjoyable for someone like me. Thank you for being you.

01:04 the interaction 😂 The "comfortable white woman sandal" is the infamous Birkenstock! The sandal of choice for the outdoorsy or otherwise practical and capable comfort-loving women. Allan is a vintage doll that was literally sold with the text "Ken's best friend. All of Ken's clothes fit him" on the box. I don't think he's been kept in the current doll roster. I loved Allan being a stand in for us non-binary/gender non-conforming/non allo cis het people I cannot quite express how much I loved your reaction! Keep on being awesome!

that's gorgeous. what a beautiful thing to say. I am a 56 year old gay man. and I love this movie. your comment moves me so much. I get it. my mother and I were very close for my entire life. we loved movies so much. we would go to the movies, and watch movies at home and talk about them for hours. she has alzheimer's, and in this last year it has come to the point where she doesn't know me anymore. we live in different cities now, and have for about 40 years. she doesn't know who I am anymore. and the last several times when we tried to engage, because she didn't know who I was, I seemed to scare her and confuse her even further. so I am no longer in contact with her. and this film makes me miss her so much. she would have LOVED this film. she would have loved what it says about women. about men. about being human. about the world. and I know we would have gone to the theatre this summer together to join the excitement. we each would have worn pink. and we both would have cried together at how beautiful BARBIE really is. now, I cry by myself when I watch it. and whoa sometimes. wowie do I cry. but when I watch reaction channels like this one I laugh and enjoy. or when I read comments yours, I feel a little better. and feel blessed for the time I had with my mom. and feel really blessed that such an amazing, lovely woman is who I got for a mom. and of course, I still cry, but I feel less alone and less sad. and that feels better, and almost ok. so thanks so much for posting. stay well.

@@ayaa.1351It's super interesting. But, if you go through the comment section, the majority of people liked it because they viewed it as a satire of feminism and the way a Lot of people think. I read/saw a couple articles/videos about how there are feminists who are really angry because there are people who like it Because of that. And because there are Men who really like it because they think Ken is more of a main character than Barbie. I like EOM a lot, but I get the feeling that he kinda saw the "front burner" of the movie and missed most of what was cooking on the "back burner". Some of CD's fans thought the same about his review. Que sera sera

The only reason I went to see this movie was because we wanted to do the "Barbenheimer Challenger". I treated it as a bit of a joke but, walking out of the theater at the end of that (long-ass) night, I found that I enjoyed Barbie more than Oppenheimer. I'd put good money down that the people hating on this movie either never actually watched it, or they're worried about losing face with their Jan 6th buddies.

Perfect gorgeous Barbie seeing an elder woman for the very first time in her life and seeing her age as something truly beautiful is just amazing. I adore this movie so much. The song paired with the home video style montage destroyed me, walked out of the theater still sobbing. This movie was to me about the beauty of human life.

As someone who has spent my life around horses in the Horse Capital of the World & absolutely loves them, I find it amusing that Ken associated patriarchy with horses. He was only interested in it because he believed he could have horses in a patriarchal society. Once he found out that wasn’t the case he kinda lost interest in the concept. Horses used to be the exclusive domain of men but today more woman than men own horses & horses give women the ability to compete on the same level as men. Just watch most horse sports like show jumping, dressage & reining & see men & women riders competing in the same numbers. Horses are equalizers & Ken just wanted his own horse so he could be on level ground with Barbie.

I love Ken's character in this movie. Most likely because Ryan Gosling played it so magnificently. He crushed the role. Margo was great. The messages are great. Both Ken and Barbie went on different journeys and landed on the same spot of self-realization. Ken was insecure. He had no career, house, or status other than an accessary to Barbie. His path to status was through Barbie. He learned the wrong lessons, but in the end, he learned he must have self-love before he could find the love and respect he so wanted. Barbie was confident. Barbies had houses, cars, and careers. Lifevwas perfect for them. She didn't want change. Barbies were on top. Barbie learned she had the strength to deal with life's obstacles. She discovered life was messy, but that life made her fill alive. Through her adversity, she learned to be more understanding of others. Great reaction. Thanks!❤

Your comments are spot on Jay. People always gotta get butt hurt about something. But that's only a self report of their insecurities.

All the Barbies are real. They move like dolls do. Lizzo narrates as she's singing if you didn't notice 😅 The sandals are called BIRKENSTOCKS.

Ugh the mom line of standing still so our daughters can see how far they’ve come. Still broken from that one. ❤

This movie surprised the hell out of me. I started crying when the mom went off on what women have to do and be, and didn’t stop until the end of the movie. Love your reaction 💗

The story of this movie to screen was fascinating. It started out as a doomed-to-fail disaster concept starring that one painfully unfunny female comedian whose name escapes me, to a legitimately well-crafted and star-studded movie that defied its absurd premise.

Amy Shumer... Yeah. I'm actually super glad how this turned out. Amy's version would be sooooo cringe...

It still felt like an Amy Schumer movie with Margot Robbie plugged in. Hell, Helen Mirren's narration even mocks this.

Just so you know, Bill Duke, buff action dude from COMMANDO, PREDATOR, and MENACE II SOCIETY, every time I saw him getting interviewed on TV, he was wearing a suit with Birkenstocks. And no socks.

You're wonderful and this reaction was fantastic!!! Since i started watching you, you have been the perfect blend of honest, silly, deep, and funny af. All of the adjectives i use to describe this amazing movie, i would use to describe you. I'm glad you addressed why SOME men hated this movie and were honest about yourself and your shortcomings, and making fun of them. I wish more people were like that. Keep it up!!
