Judging from Your comment, your knowledge on football seems weak here's why. Guardiola managed BARCELONA BAYERN & currently managing City. Barca were champions of Spain a year prior to his appointment as a manager, and he also found some world class players in the squad. Bayern were champions of Germany when he came. Man city won the premier league 18 months bfre he was appointed with pelegrine. Now what am trying to say is he never managed a struggling team all the teams he managed were quite good teams, let him prove himself by managing a club that's struggling, if arteta win trophies with arsenal by the time he retires he will be way better manager than pep

I think the reason why is when things began to go downhill after leading the Blaugrana to their second ever Champions league trophy in 2006. The 3 year period between '06 and '09 even saw Barça almost go trophyless in a season wining the Spanish Supercup only. Which also resulted in Rijkaard getting sacked.

The Barra board did everything to try bring him, Pep was ready to quit after 2011 CL victory but Barca begged him to stay 1 more year, then after Pep left immediately in 2012, few days after Chelsea knocked them out of CL

In early 90s and early 00s, most top 5 clubs from Span Portugal and Germany and Italy and Italy along with Netherland league are a power house. Managers during that time doesn't need to spend that much, they have great players that player with passion and luv on every possible position you can think of. That why club like Nottingham Forest and Aston Villa along with Hamburger and unknown club like Steaua beat Barca to win the champion league. And Porta and PSV also managed to win the league during late 80s. Ever since the start of early 2010s Football no wonder played for passion and luv, you will see players rather play for their dream clubs and bigger club with bigger paycheck, nowadays it impossible to win UCL with clubs that can't spend hundreds of millions of dollar. Every top young potential players are brought by bigger and richer clubs. It the only way to win the UCL. The only clubs that doesn't spend huge on transfers market to win the everything was 2010-11 Barcelona who key players are from academy.
