Tbh I think Caleb going through this is a good thing for him. I believe he go be grinding like crazy this offseason 💯
@BearsgamepodcastСағат бұрын
I think so too. He's not going to just let things go. I believe he's sick of the losing. He said is effecting him. As a former athlete it does take a toll.

But, he takes to many of those sacks, and he already has, it can and will ruin his career !

I like Caleb, I see the promise in Caleb, so this is not shade (intentionally) but this whole kerfuffle with Caleb's streak of no interceptions... I mean, do the other QBs on the top of that list throw so many uncatchable passes? Passes which couldn't be intercepted cuz they are nowhere near ANYBODY? Is anyone concerned that Caleb is over-prioritizing avoiding interceptions at the expense connecting on some 'riskier' throws? Not saying anybody wants Caleb to throw stupid risky passes, but I do think he throws an overabundance of passes way past the end zone or in otherwise totally uncatchable territory...and I'm sure that will get better with experience -- as long as Caleb isn't in a place mentally where he prefers a clean interception record over throwing risky passes when risky passes are necessary. For example, toward the end of games when we either score or we are absolutely going to lose, and there are no perfectly open receivers, a risky pass MUST be thrown. What's the point of throwing away passes at the point of the game when it's do or die? Unless the QB is prioritizing their clean interception streak...? With that said, maybe at this point in the season I could understand prioritizing a personal record over potential team success because our season is fugged and we may as well get a higher draft position at this point. But if memory serves, there's been more than one wildly errant pass at a do or die moment near the end of games this season. More data needed to be really concerned, but ...yeah. Is this maybe a thing to think about?

It's about moving forward. Poles knows that this is it. He has everything he needs to stay on his goal of setting up a team and program to stand the tests of time. Keep your senses now and get busy.

I don’t think they would get lovie, because Johnson I’m not sure has a relationship with him, but maybe . They need to replace all coaches/coordinators especially the o line and special teams coordinators

Why would Ben Johnson want to leave a great team to take over this mess?
@daoldballcoach74722 сағат бұрын
I think the Bears need more of a Mike Vrabel type however I think the pressure will push them towards Ben Johnson. If Ben hires a veteran DC (A Vic Fangio type) then the Bears will be set.

I have to push back on Caleb's number because they mostly occurred during garbage time when most games were out of reach
@ericprice701610 минут бұрын
He’s not getting help though he has no running game and the running game is a rookie quarterback best friend hell a good running day is a quarterback best friend regardless our quarterback is fine. I think he’s doing real good in the situation that’s handed to him.

Despite silly garbage time stats, in the W column Caleb is not the guy. I'm not going to get into the fingernail thing or the wimping on the bench, or those pesky rumors. I SO wanted Caleb to be even 1/2 as good as they promised. But he's just another pedestrian QB like Trube. And like Trube, we let the other guys get away who are much better. Jayden got a TD pass into a needle at 0:06 against best team in NFL. THATS a ROOKIE in the modern era. What in the world does anyone see in this guy Caleb. Total and complete disappointment 4 win season. Caleb was supposed to bring together the locker room instead he's poison!

@@tomrockhill8634Good points...
@mcrawfordd285 сағат бұрын
@tomrockhill8634 The Oline is bad, but they have shown us that they can block at times. When Caleb is holding on to the football and can't make a decision on his check downs, leading him to not want to throw a pick, causing him to take sacks. So we can't entirely say it's just the Oline when he sucks at check downs and holds onto the football too long. Same with JF1 holding on to it for too long and getting sacked.

If you don't like Williams, 🖕 off and watch the Packers!!!
@daoldballcoach74722 сағат бұрын
You forgot one of the most important stats - 4-11 with 9 straight losses. Fair or Unfair QB's are judged off wins and any true Bears fan if they were honest will say Caleb has been a failure this season..
@williamkumle66254 сағат бұрын
Beyond getting Caleb, Poles has been weak. Letting productive players like Roquan and Montgomery go were huge mistakes. Can’t stop the run; can’t run it. That’s on Poles. Can’t protect the QB. Can’t rush the passer. Really poor job putting this team together.

@tomrockhill86345 сағат бұрын
Jayden Daniels is gonna get knocked on his skinny ass one too many times😂. He's running a College offense.
@andrewb80743 сағат бұрын
Williams and Daniels are statistically very close. What difference there is is largely due to Daniels having the one thing that the Bears have failed to address for years now: a legitimate o-line. If Caleb played for the Commanders I don't see their record being much different. This organization keeps putting high draft pick QBs behind horrendous o-lines and expecting different results.
