I think people make a big deal about the .99 thing, cause if you say $5, in NJ I would think, oh I could get it for $5.35 with tax. So others may think that way, end up going thinking they could get 5 movies for $26.75 (in NJ) instead they end up with a bill of $32.05 (in NJ) since they're really $5.99. Not being a jerk, just explaining people's possible perception.

Start by collecting movies that you like. Like John he buys movies that he's seen and that he enjoys. Movies are meant to be watched and enjoyed not being put on a shelf and collecting dust. So get films that you enjoy and know that you'll watch them again and again.
