Yes, it's one of those movies that you leave playing in the background while you do chores around the house. Generic plot, generic script, generic acting.

I liked the movie, it wasn't as thrilling as the others, but they made up for what the 3rd one lacked. One thing that bothered me is the opening of the actual movie. When we see the first shot of Axel back in beverly hills, instead of the golden sunkissed boulevards, vibrant palm trees and feel good upbeat music, we get drab visuals, lots of shadows and a soulless hip hop track. And their attempt at recreating the classic chase scene with ridiculous vehicles, except it doesn't work because the robbers were throw away characters with no distinct personalities, far too serious, so you don't feel anything. It's meant to be dragging 80's into modern day, Like ok, I get it we move with the times, but it's Beverly Hills Cop, not GTA

Oh yeah, mediocre is almost generous. Back in the day the characters were young and cool and funny. Now I just get the old and tired vibe. I think they should have introduced a new young, hip funny guy to take over, but put a ton of effort into it to make it funny like 21 jump Street. That could have rebooted the franchise.

I thought the movie was great it's way better than part 3 that's for sure but Busta rhymes said it best when he said people don't like reality and think it's boring people wanna be entertained and trilled so to me the movie was entertaining what more do you want

Would have been SOOOOO much tighter if it was cut down to 90-100 mins and had a few more witty jokes. Second act was way too long and dragged the whole film down.
