There is an ongoing project aimed at facilitating Brazil's connection with Asia in a simple, fast, and uncomplicated way...
Brazil is one of the top 10 most important countries in the world!
Ranking 9th in the list of the world's largest economies!
One of the main factors that the wealthiest countries in the world have in common is coastline; the larger and more accessible the coastline, the better the import and export capabilities of that country.
This is because maritime transport is one of the cheapest and safest.
Mastering this transport is already a major step for any nation.
Another important point is the possession of valuable natural resources, such as minerals and oil, which we also have.
Thus, from a geopolitical perspective, Brazil has all the necessary factors to become a major power.
Our vast coastline facilitates maritime transportation with North and Central Americas and also enables direct routes to Africa and Europe.
Practically all countries with easy access to the Atlantic Ocean engage in trade with Brazil via maritime routes.
So far, we have only advantages for Brazil, but the real problem arises when we look to the other side of the world.
Our major trading partners in the East need to either send or receive goods via flights, which are much more expensive, or cross this immense ocean.
Circumnavigating the southern tip of Africa...
The project aimed at facilitating Brazil's connection with Asia aims to strengthen ties with China, Japan, and other trading partners in the East.
The fastest routes to Asia currently take around 45 days at sea. This month and a half of travel slows down Brazil's growth.
