That’s nice attention to detail! I love high quality tools. Thank you for the video

Great review bzeug! Fully agree, JIS bits from Vessel and Anex are the best bits out there. Thanks!

For me a good tool set, I mean here a somewhat compact tool set requires bit drivers, however it's good to have 2 / 3 dedicated screew drivers as they can do certain things better than bit drivers and that's about doing something else than screw driving of course. I personally use a 4mm and extra large flat + a size 1 and 2 phillips, all the rest is bits however when it comes to bit drivers it's great to have those long ones, which is the hardest kind to find and the hardest to have a good full set from one brand. Also speaking of hard it's even harder when you want to get the security hex and torx with a long shaft. because when you search for 25mm bits you can find most of what you are seeking for, but when you want something like 100 mm long bits, you are screwed most of the time, and when I say screwed it's either there is a lacking size or the shaft is 1/4 hex fat and there is no point of such bits. I work in HVAC, and sometimes in those pesky ventilation units you need hex bits with a long shaft. Also sometimes you need them for disassembling the electronics in pump units. I do own an extra flat bit set from vessel and they are great from those hard to reach places. So yeah, it's good to have both set of bits. Short ones and long ones. Good bit drivers and holders and you are good to go. Although I do like socket drivers with the go through socket feature. It's useless with certain applications but I bet for most technicians it's a must have in their tool set.

Yes very good point and products. I have had instances where the thickness and weight of the bit has had a telling on the torque force achievable in some tough tight screwdowns. Thicker does give more driving force if the application demands it. Other than this .. very nice machining from Vessel and your video is GREAT!

can u do a video showing all of the weird and quirky japanese bits

Just in case nobody mentioned it already, companies like Vessel also make (some) thin shank *screwdrivers*

I found the perfect set to pair with the Hazet for those who want a perfect nut driver. Go get the new Klein precision ratchet set that comes in a mod box. The nut set in it fits in flawlessly on the 810BH with very minimal play.

Hi, thank you for your videos. May I make a request for the video explaining the bits mounting types? Not that I have a huge problems about it, all it quite forgiving and just works in most cases, but I would greatly appreciate if someone could explain it in details, what is what, for what kind of adapters it meant to be used with, etc. Like what goes with ball type holders, magnet ones, retention ring ones, and whatever else. For example, for what I can see in this particular video, your Hazet bit holder seems to not to be working perfectly well with that specific Vessel bit, you can see that that thin part of the bit is not making the connection. However, as I said, it still works quite fine, I guess.

Shank you very much.

Great video, as per usual, thank you! I do have a question though, as I recall, the Japanese bits often won't fit in the non-Japanese bit holders properly, is that correct? If so, what bit holders would you recommend for them? Thank you.
@bzeug2 жыл бұрын
Yes, that is true. Japanese anvil size is 13mm, everyone else is 9mm. The Wiha Centrofix, and the Hazet 810BH hold them very nicely even though they were not designed for Japanese anvil size and don't actually lock like the E6 and C6 bits do. Those bit holders provide enough grip on the Japanese bits to hold very well, especially the Wiha Centrofix.

Does the Hazet bit holder hold Western 9mm bits and Japanese 13mm bits like the Centrofix? And is there any bit wobble in the Hazet?
@bzeug Жыл бұрын
Yes, the Hazet holds both anvil types, but only truly locks on 9mm anvil. It grips the Japanese anvil well and there is play, but it is minimal. The play in the Hazet is more than the Centrofix with both anvil types.

Do you have a favorite security bit set? Don't think I've seen any on your channel, although to be fair they are niche

I had never a problem with "bulky" screw drivers, since I started repairing/building up PCs (20 years plus...).

Did you create a Japanese Amazon account and were able to internationally ship the bits from the links you shared or did you have to use a 3rd party purchase/shipping service?
@bzeug2 жыл бұрын
I was able to create an account on amazon Japan and ship to my home just as I do on amazon USA. amazon Japan even calculates my local sales tax correctly. You are the second person to indicate that there is some problem setting up an amazon Japan account to ship to USA. Now I'm getting suspicious.

Question for follow European tool addicts: where do you get your Japanese bits from?
@bzeug Жыл бұрын
Mostly from Amazon.jp (JAPAN) but more options are appearing on Amazon USA, though many ship from Japan. They really are a Japan domestic product, so these are not really sold in "western" markets because of the 13mm anvil size which isn't compatible with our power tools.

@@bzeug one more thing: how are the J bits from Wera? The PH bits modified according to JIS... ? I want some J bits mostly for working on bike stuff. Not sure if Playstation uses JIS screws, will check soon.
@bzeug Жыл бұрын
@@carpandrei7493 Yes, they are good. I have Wera J bits. I don't use them though, because I prefer the 13mm Japanese anvil in Hazet and Wiha Centrofix bit holders.
