They sell their shitty brand. Look, anything that has BMW logo is a shit quality which means (Buy Malfunction Works). I dont want your performance over below Chinese quality product that that will drain my money. their parts' prices are like Gold prices. even when you lease it to avoid the headaches, you will also loose your time for traveling to the dealer, leaving your car with them for few days to get fixed and renting another car in the meantime. when you lease it, include a marriage certificate with the dealer coz you will see them a lot, if you buy it or finance it, then make sure you marry a mechanic shop.

Well, my family use to have a BMW X5 and it lasted us 6 years and we only had 1 problem which was the transmission and the batteries. If you don't want a BMW then get a Toyota. OMG. This is by far the funniest car review I have ever seen. You should do more videos. I am a mechanic at Sansone Automall in New Jersey and have worked on many different cars. I will say though from an engineering point of view BMW's are meant to break and meant to be brought back to the dealer. I have a friend that works at BMW and tells me all the time that they suck ass to work on and are definitely not reliable at all. They also do not have aftermarket parts if something breaks, which only hurts the consumer that owns it. I am not trying to hate BMW'S or its fellow followers. I just want to inform everyone that it's a business related move. Get money in Sales, parts, and also service. Germans are better business men than engineers and I mean that in a positive way. 😃

Modern BMWs aren't worth the money one spends on them. They really aren't. Fact is, these cars are subject to planned obsolescence and aren't made to last. BMW, as many other car manufacturers, realized that it makes more money by servicing over-sale and by repairing poorly designed car features. If one really wants a reliable, durable and high performance BMW, he should opt for an older BMW. Older BMW were made to last, require less maintenance, can be fixed by the owner, parts are cheaper and can be easily upgraded.

If the Japanese can do it...GM and the Germans can do it! I bought new a 2005 Camry 2.4 (4 cyl.) I owned it 15 years and sold it with 218,000 miles. This car didn't drip "ONE DROP OF ANYTHING!" On top of that it had the original: alternator, water pump, thermostat, starter, CV boots, radiator, transmission, power steering pump, master cylinder, fans, and...the AC never had to be recharged! NOT ONE DROP OF ANYTHING! I replaced the front brakes twice, rear shocks once, all shocks once, That car was as "trouble-free" as any car could be. Of course , I maintained it with synthetic oil & Toyota filters, transmission fluid changes, coolant changes, and spark plug changes. Oh...28 MPG town...35 MPG highway. Any comments from anyone?

BMW’s don’t age well, every time I see a 5-10 year old beemer one of the running or headlights are always out. The roundel logo on the hood or rear is always rubbed off etc. BMW’s just age terribly since the year 2000+ model years.

Buying a used E92 was hands down the worst financial decision I’ve made yet. It was a painful series of out of pocket repair costs for the car to spontaneously combust while driving on the highway. The fire was caused by a faulty wiring harness that shorted and arced catching the engine on fire. Bmw recalled a ton of 3-series and 5-series for this same issue in 2017 but you heard nothing about on it on the news. People even had there houses burn down because the car caught fire, at night in the garage, while it was off. BMW told me it’d be three months minimum before they could get a fire expert to inspect the ruin of my car before they’d consider reimbursing me.

Luckily when my dad got his 2006 BMW in 2014 it only had a bit over 20,000 kms. It had to have a sensor replaced that was ridiculously expensive but the dealer paid for it and when he got a new battery the deal had to reset the ECU and cost $90 or so.

Sounds like a microwave when you unlock it, and the engine start sounds like a fairy waving her wand. Too many electronics to fail, much more costly to repair, and no, the new ones are not reliable. Bmw z4 had so many electronic issues, a girl with a bmw GT from 2012 is having some major problems now. 60k car with overblown luxury and boring costly engine, or add 10k more and you can get a mid engine corvette 0-60 in 3 second cornering fun car that is not expensive to repair.

I bought a Mini Countryman, and after 31,747 miles I got a coolant leak. So, because the car is over 4 years guarantee and because a US Mini dealership did not repair it, the charge is on me. The problem is that Mini Dealerships in the Bay Areas are as SUCK as US BMW. They wanted to charge me for a second diagnostic... And I pass all the details of what the final cost would have been. Even if the guarantee says up to 50K miles, it does not count after 4 years. WTF with BMW? In this world how hard is it to recognize that the car was defective? How hard it is to make the customer life easier? And, the worst part of the story: After talking or arguing with customer service they tell you: Is there anything else I can help you with? REALLY!!! My point is that they should revisit their customer service playbook and change the way they end a SUCK conversation. Instead of saying thank you for being a loyal BMW customer? They should say F... YOU to being a BMW customer... My first and last buy with BMW. I will stick with Mercedes, Honda, Toyota or Mazda. They treat you well and never got issue. I have been working in marketing for 28 years, but I never treat customer like they do. I am still amazed by the way Fortune 500 companies do business.... Franck

This is the case with most cars these days, but you see it more in a BMW because of the cost. I had a 2000 Audi TT that I drove until it was rear ended at 260K miles. It always ran great. My wife has a '98 Mercedes C230, about as cheap a Mercedes you could buy that year, but it's build quality is pretty good. It doesn't feel cheaply put together at all. But all the newer cars have a very cheap feel about them, and are notorious for falling apart after just a few years. Cars in general were better built in the past.

I have 147k miles on my 2011 328xi, had it almost5 years now since it had 18k.. it’s one of the best cars that I’ve ever owned, and I’ve had mostly Honda’s and Toyota’s. It’s been a great solid car and had some nit pick things break, but fixed all that myself for cheap.

how many people here own bmw ? every car company has "base" model which is very cheap equipped , however if you make some extra options it will fucking blow your mind with luxurious such as double stitching leather wrapped around entire dashboard , door panel, steering wheel, walnut wood trim, aluminium ....and stuffs like that but you have to spend cash on it , only thing i agree is the way bmw making base models look really fucked up , even on M model , i see a BMW M3 2016 at dealership with 200K price tag ( in my country cars are expensive ) with hard plastic dashboard, fake aluminium trim, only HID lights with halogen signal bulbs, no sunroof, no rear sunshade....and i look at benz C300 AMG , omg full option, even with HUD, panorama sunroof, all leather wrapped, full LED lighting system, 17 speakers burnmester sound ..and it costs ony 100K ...

I had the same car as a rental I would never buy a BMW ever unless it was the old ones (which in my opinion are good e46's).I ended up buying a 2015 Lexus GS350 F-sport over the BMW's I had looked at & test drove. Lexus is amazing might not be as a quick as the twin turbo BMW's but still way better interior and reliability :). Love your video man keep up the good work!
