My personal problem with Boruto is that its just a tease with huge potential. I am up to date with the latest ep (no spoiling dw) and every toime i expect something good to happen it doesn't. For example Mitsuki sage mkde teases, Boruto training teases, new chars learning the truth about their parents, villians and the list goes on. There is no feel that the story has any progression in nearly 200 episodes. Most of it is going on a mission, some goofy episodes after the mission and then another mission. Naruto was like that as well, but at least we had Orochimaru and the Akatsuki lurking in the background and a lot of chars had progression and were interesting. In Boruto the best characters are the old ones, the best storyline so far is the otsotsuki stuff. We were teased about the future in the first episode, but so far its just a hope that it will get that interesting. The current ark seems to go in the right direction, but after so many let downs i don't have my hopes high. The manga seems interesting at the moment, but don't know for sure because i am trying to stay spoiler free and just saw some titles of random videos on yt.

People like to forget how much hate shippiden was getting. I remember when shippuden was releasing weekly and people were giving it so much hate. Saying it'll never be as good as the original series. People need to try and see what makes a series good instead of the faults

@@xt3276A lot of People hated Boruto because it took 167 episodes for them to realize they were still kids / weak. yes that is very true, but the length of this episode is good in the era of peace. Because we can be shown a long time of peace in the anime Boruto. And to realize that they are still weak. and it will be very touching when the Shinobi world is at war again. different in Naruto, where we only witnessed happiness that was not told in detail (just a flashback) and in a war era. and I'm really looking forward to that incident, I'm not disappointed by the length of the episode for them to realize that they are still kids who don't know what Shinobi really means.

Honestly I think the whole "Boruto is a brat" thing is way overstated. I don't see the issue with a young kid wanting to spend more time with their father and then acting out because of it. It's a realistic issue and both Naruto and Boruto were both to equally at fault for that situation. It's suprising to me that more people don't see it that way. Here’s my take; I disagree with the Boruto brat argument, because it was only when his father was involved. He didn’t go out of his way to bring up his dad. If the title of Hokage, or his dad was brought up in conversation then he’d act like a brat. If Naruto himself was there, Boruto was a brat. But outside of that, Boruto was just a good kid with some rebellious traits. Also, the designs are a lot more unique in the manga than the anime for sure. However, the manga as of 51 or whatever chapters has only shown Team 7 and 10. The other squads legit don’t exist.

Yeah after I finished Naruto I watched the first episode of boruto. But I didn’t had the time to watch the anime so I paused. In that time I saw so many KZbin videos ranting about Boruto. So many post on Reddit. „ he is such a brat he hates his father“. „This is all filler“.. that didn’t motivate me to start it again. But then I saw some clips of the show on KZbin. It didn’t spoilered so much. Something like the kids and father day. After I saw these clips I started the show and watched it. And after that I read the manga. I didn’t regret any second. I love that show , I really like the community all the theories. I don’t say that boruto is perfect , it has at some point his problems but I really can’t understand the points why it gets the hate. So yes Boruto did „hate“ his father. But from his POV I can understand this. People always argue „ he is the Hokage he doesn’t have the tim“ that are exactly the same people who hates Hiruzen because „ he didn’t care at Naruto and wasn’t there for him“. Also if you watched more then 2 episode you would see that Boruto changes and learns to respect Hal father. The filler. We are on episode 170 or something like this. I don’t wanne Spoiler to much, but everything is canon. It s anime canon. ( there maybe 1-2 „filler“ like the chojo things but yeah Naruto had his filler too). Also there are filler which I really liked, like that of team 25. In the Manga we have only Team 7 and Even from that Team er don‘t See many characters . When was the last time we saw Sarada or Mitsuki. Like how I said , the anime has at some points his problems but it shouldn’t get that hate.

@@Alexa_hope Shinki ark was really boring for me, time travel had potential and some really cool scenes, but the villian was really bad and easily defeated and there were some obvious plot holes and the kara ark is yet to actually start at full force, cuz the first enemy is only in the anime, but so far the ark is the best and i hope it won't be just the next "it had potential but it failed" like the rest. I am not a hater of the show if thats what you think, it jist personally doesn't meet my expectations. I usually don't compare animes with each other but when Boruto is a continuation of something already established and half of the arks are literally copy paste from the original it just doesn't live up to Naruto. There are people who don't like Naruto as an anime but there was a reason it was one of the big 3,while Boruto is nearly at ep 200 and is still waiting for its big moments. At the same time Naruto was good since the begining and the Zabuza ark.

I totally agree with you, this series is in the anime is just like a development of each character until they get to the manga chapters, we're seeing how all of them go through their learning in a time of peace, something that is not normal in naruto's time, they are more relaxed because they don't know how serious things are, the anime gets better on the last chapters because they know they have to get better to beat enemies who are stronger in many ways, they learn more about the shinobi life although it's not totally faithful to the manga with the appearance of some characters

They CAN'T get past the level they are in the manga (because that's the source material) and their power level hasn't changed at all there. tbh when i first started boruto i straight away knew what the creator was doing for this anime (mostly cuz i've watched like 100 animes with similar plot to boruto) and on episode one i gave it a chance cuz i knew it would be really good because i mean its naruto's freaking son but after i finished watching like up to episode 190 (yes i watched 190 episodes in less then i week oof :'>) i did love it WAY more like i had my respect for boruto and tbh i would reply to hate comments n boruto but only cuz the person or people didnt finish up to episode like 70 yet so i would fill them in on some things without spoiling anything and i would ask them to stop hating cuz the animes changed since the first episodes and i've been like replying to hate comments and having TONS of hope for boruto for like 2 years now *ish* and i need to say something to the people who STILL have their bad opinions on boruto even when watching this video, what would you do in the mind of boruto??? (from episodes 1-60), if your father hasnt been spending time with you or your family (or mom) would you just be like "oh ok" without wanting them to explain themselves?, you would be confused, and thats exactly what boruto went though, and all he wanted was for his father to pay attention to him and for his father to be proud of him and i would want the same and also, boruto is a lot like naruto when he was a kid (not like looks and personalities) i mean like in both their mind sets, they both wanted attention from someone or some people and they both would go vary far to get that attention they need cuz when your a kid thats all you know how to do, its not like your mom or dad or some adult tells you "hey so were not gonna give you the attention you need to grow up because we dont want you to have attention on yourself", no thats not what they would say so as a kid its like second nature for you to get attention (im going off of anime and manga and real life evidence on all of this) so is it really fair for people to hate on someone who's just going by instinct, cuz no one hated on naruto when he was doing the same so why should you boruto?? is it because you think boruto doesnt know anything about naruto?? is it because we all have been though naruto's journey together and its hard for us to let go because if we do we know we can never go back cuz right now that seems to be what everyones going on and right now its not naruto's journey anymore, its boruto's journey, naruto's story has ended and tbh i feel like boruto will be just as great as naruto, as an anime and as a main character :) but thats mostly my opinion but everything else i said in this comment is proved on anime, manga, and real life experience for myself of how kids react and how the feel

I just posted this on your latest Boruto reaction but I think it fits here better. OG Naruto had 8 filler episodes until the story was finished. The absolute majority of fillers only aired at the end of the show to give some extra content until Shippuden started. Shippuden started with a year of canon episodes. There were filler arcs inbetween that I personally enjoyed exept the boat trip filler when they traveled to the turtle island and the tsukuyomi filler. In my opinion they found a good balance with fillers present and actual progress in the main story. Boruto has 23 canon episodes after almost 200 released episodes. The latest 4 canon episodes were released almost 100 episodes after the last canon episodes before them and have this super out of place card game in them so I never would have guessed they are canon until I looked that up right now. I know not all "anime canon" are bad but most of them are glorified fillers. My favourite episode so far, even including the movie adaptaion, is 167 and it's "anime canon".

Ok this guy clearly doesn't remember part 1 Naruto and Shippuden, even though he watched it not too long ago. Good Part 1 villains include: - Zabuza/Haku - Gaara - Orochimaru - Kimimaro - Sasuke Also when did Tsunade cry for Naruto's help? Majority of Shippuden was her trying to protect Naruto.

1. Zabuza and Haku lasted about as long as a sneeze. 2. Gaara as well. 3. Orochimaru is up in the air on if he's a villain or not. 4. Dude had one fight and died he hardly counts. 5. Sasuke..... yeah... um... meh villain. Also he was a villain in Shippuden. Boruto hasn't gotten their yet so you can't use that. The Boruto villains are actually pretty good, and when I say that I mean they are actually evil. Like, they are actually villains. Naruto is besties with all the villains you mentioned by the end (well maybe not Orochimaru but he's giving weird uncle vibes in Boruto). Jigen is terrifying. So is Momoshiki, because they might actually kill people, and unlike in Naruto, nobody will be brought back to life.

Heisuten spitting facts, im pretty much in the middle I think pierrot picks up manga to adapt too fast, cuz boruto has 1 chapter every month and 1 chapter has like prolly 1 ep worth of content. They honestly should start doing seasons with breaks (like mha) instead of non stop. It has happened with all of their anime that do that (Bleach, Naruto, Boruto) its even happening to Black Clover now cuz they caught up with the manga :/

I’m really glad someone touched on this. Boruto as a whole is enjoyable for me but o don’t think it is on the level of Shippuden or naruto. I believe it will be close or as good later on into the series but I will also say it is not without its faults. I’ve always said that it’s a good anime. Not great, not bad, but good. I’ll give two prime examples of where it’s good and where it’s bad. The Chunin exams/Momoshiki arc was done very well. They gave Boruto as well as naruto some character development as a father and son that was much needed to repair their relationship and helping Boruto to mature. An example of a bad thing it does is arcs like the Cho-Cho arc. Even if it was filler/anime cannon it was very dragged out and seemed like it made character’s like cho cho digress in their development. I don’t hate cho-cho as a character. I just don’t like how she was written in the arc. I will say I’m excited to see where the anime goes from 172 onward and I won’t spoil anything but the show is heating up in a very good way. We’ve gotten even more character development heavily focused on boruto and Sarada but even the side characters to an extent. I hope everyone can understand that I won’t defend this anime on its faults because they are definitely there. But I’ll also praise it where it’s deserved. Also they destroyed Garra’s due fam. I almost cried over it. Can’t wait to see where it goes from here but I hope you’ll consider the points I made. Thanks if you read this comment.

To be honest I don't understand why people hate the boruto anime, I can understand why they'd hate his character at the beginning, but he changed, shippuden was just as bad as boruto is, the moment jiraiya died marked the end of naruto being an anime about ninja's and more about giant skeletal avatar's, tailed beasts gods and aliens, the fucking power scaling in shippuden was absolutely shit and boruto follows that trend, Naruto unlocked KCM1 form and outsped the raikage (AKA the fastest shinibi alive at that point) and immediately everyone seems to match his speed, itachi, nagato, obito, even sasuke and sakura, and don't even get started on "oH THe ChARActeR DeveLOPmeNt IS sO BaD iN BoRUto" argument because in shippuden, unless you were the vessel of a tailed beast or an uchiha, you wouldn't get shit in terms of character development, and the times they do get the slightest amount of it, are in filler episodes, therefore they aren't even canon

The biggest issue with Boruto is the lazy writing. There are good bits but the amount of lazy writing just overshadows the good parts. Boruto fans just assume people hate the series because the main character is Boruto and not Naruto, but that's not it. What makes a good shounen anime is to have good villians and Boruto anime just hasn't delivered, in 173 episodes we have one somewhat decent villain (Deepa). If you compare them to villians in part 1 Naruto you can clearly see the difference (Zabuza, Orochimaru, Gaara, Sasuke)

The reason why there is not much manga canon is cuz manga is monthly and ikimoto can only do it monthly and still its too much for him, but the story itself is long enough to interest people.
