Honestly I think it’s just costs less money to progress a club like Nice then a Premier League club. All the big clubs in England are owned by billionaires, and need crazy investment just to stay in competition for European positions. The fans all expect to compete year in, year out. It’s unreasonable and you come under too much media scrutiny. In France, reasonable investment and good coaching can get you into European spots. Plus the recruiting ground is fertile, Nice is a nice location to lure younger prospects to play, and sell them on for profit.

In General I don’t like INEOS. The ineos logo looks like the CBS logo. They polluted the Manchester Canal and other polluting activities. Last season in Formula 1, Ineos was rumored to buy the Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 team. It took a long time to renew Toto Wolff and Sir Lewis Hamilton contracts due to InEos.

Radcliffe's next move should be easy and obvious, given the circumstances. Buy another club in a less wealthy country that produces lots of talent and has a good pipeline in place. Brazil, Argentina,, Mexico, take your pick. Identify clubs that produce great talent which are also falling on hard times with their finances. Become an angel investor for a bargain, and take advantage of some free transfers and favorable loans from a feeder club. He might also consider a more creative workaround in the US. Identify prolific academy programs that are not part of MLS, like Crossfire for example. Purchase the rights to a club in USL League 2 (formerly the PDL) and in USL League One, and later potentially in the USL Championship. These clubs are fed by already-successful academies that are quite prolific, and once again you're looking at free transfers and favorable loan agreements that get American players straight into Europe while bypassing MLS and then Nice flips some of that talent for a nice sell-on that is shared with the academy that developed the talent. This may be especially favorable because the US often lets its talent to to Europe for free- valuing the opportunity to develop talent there- while also being interested in getting a fair deal out of the sell-on situations as they arise. Radcliffe could probably do both of those things and it wouldn't cost a whole lot of money. The opportunity is there for the taking right now as so many clubs are struggling financially. There is some real value in a lot of these distressed assets.
