❤ Welcome truth-seekers! Your perspective matters. 🤔 What surprised you most about Buddhism's approach to other religions? For me, it was discovering how ancient Buddhist temples actually welcomed and strengthened other faiths instead of competing with them. Share your thoughts below: Have you ever felt torn between different spiritual traditions? What's your experience with combining practices from different faiths? Which part of Buddha's inclusive approach resonated with you most? Let's learn from each other's experiences! I'll be reading your comments and responding to the most insightful ones. ✨ If you found value in this video, help spread the wisdom by sharing it with someone who might be struggling with religious differences. #StayCurious #StayWise

The reality is that Buddhists can live in peace in christian countries. But christians were slaughtered in all Buddhist countries. Try to be a roman catholic united to Rome in China. In Japan you will get problems with the Mafia. Yes, Buddhism says that it accepts all religions. But that is a lie. If Buddhism doesn't accept that Jesus is exclusively the only saviour it doesn't accept christianism. Buddhism is no religion but a replacement for religion. It has no dogmas. It has only lies and wants to be good friend with everybody. But without truth there is no real friendship.

i grew up Orthodox Christian, after hearing lots of NDE experiences and how each was catered to lure you into the light and after seeing amount of suffering allowed in the world today,i found Gnosticism first as it all points that this world was given to us as a school in distant past by God,yet something took ownership of the universe away from us and enslaved us and thus God tried to free us through his son, after i got to the conclusion that we live in reincarnation trap i experienced second misery, first one was regular panic about hell, but reincarnation seemed worse to me than actual hell losing everything that makes me me and i got depressed when i thought about my family and friends losing who they are,but then i foundsomeone who said that once we escape this universe that we regain all knowelage of our past lives and that calmed me down a bit,now i know that no matter what ends up being the truth eventually ill reunite with everyone, even if there is something sinister force reincarnating us over and over again it cant do that for infinity of time as every once in a while someone escapes, that gave me a sliver of hope

Not entirely. It lacks in the breaching the gap department. According to the comparative religion population consneses published by Cambridge university, out of the 5 major religions, Buddhism had the most suicide rates, trailing Christianity, Hindusim and the religion with the least amount was Islam, ironically the word Islams moniker is called the religion of peace. That aside, in all religions, especially Abrahamic, suicide is the equivalent of murder in Gods eyes, it is haram in Islam, it is not scriptable in Christianity, and it is frowned upon in Judaism, so if they killed themelves than their soul was not in peace, but at war with itself, the body falling apart or dieing off by age is one thing, but to kill the body is more so you’re targeting the soul and spirit by doing so. Again, they did not attain peace, because their actions speak for themselves. When you say peace, what type of peace, solitude, isolation, being liberated from money and chores, what’s the peace part about not engaging other things? I only ask because if it has the highest amounts of suicides of all major religions, than it is not truly a efffective religion, they should have had remedies and antipodes for their woes, problems and pangs, solutions over the adversity. But they didn’t, so this is why I put my faiths in higher esteem to the Abrahamic.

Every mortal is suffering from their problems and inner conflicts, regardless of their religion. Therefore it is not possible to point out one religion or belief and labeling it as not effective for human psychology. I appreciate your reason why you want to put your faith in abramic religions. When I turned 13 I became Atheist reading books about the universe and the origin of the species. I could care less about an after life or a all powerful being. It seemed all made up or wishful thinking. Then just by chance I came arcoss the teachings of the buddha after reading it I learned how to accept things as they are and found it helpful. I soon stopped fighting with other people and respect their beliefs. I no longer call myself an atheist since I have no conflict with other faiths. I would call myself a free thinker and the buddhist teachings helped me deal with life.

Same here. Just want to say that the word Atheist is misunderstood today. I am an atheist because I haven't seen satisfactory proof of the existence of any gods, I don't hate religion, live and let live. People that go around screaming at religious people and calling them stupid aren't atheists, they are anti theists. The difference being they fanatically believe there are no gods, which is a belief in itself.
@IAmYourTuber

@@jackreacher4488the problem is that when religious ppl encounter nonbelievers they feel they have to convince nonbelievers that there is a god. Nonbelievers get tired of being force fed what they don’t believe in. So that may be a reason nonbelievers stand their ground. What gives a believer more authority to force their beliefs? So that’s why you may have nonbelievers that are outspoken. I respect everyone. If some “god blesses” me I don’t mind. I say thank you. Only because “god” is a general term. But if someone debates me I have no problem discussing beliefs. I read the Bible as a kid to adulthood old and new. I am knowledgeable enough to know not to be religious. Peace ✌🏻 to everyone.

@marie from what I read on your comment it shows that you still don’t believe in any gods. Which still puts you in the category of being atheist by definition. Being atheist is nothing bad or agnostic as well. I’m an atheist. But reading the Bible from childhood I would say that Jesus showed a peaceful way of life. I also discovered that from his travels he may have learned Buddhism. There is a lot of history we don’t know. But also there is no proof of Jesus. But I do believe in a Jesus of those times being a normal good man. We are all sons of god just like Jesus if he really existed. That makes us all gods. I choose to be a good god. But then again. I’m not a god because I’m an atheist. Or am I a god?

Buddha taught us the root of suffering originated from our Greed, Anger, and Ignorance. So a basic cultivation is to watch our Mind. Speech and Actions every day. There is no God to Punish or Reward you. But the Punishments and Rewards would come around from the Karmic forces of these Wise or Unwise thoughts, actions, and deeds. Just as "what goes around comes around". This is a very basic Crash Course in Buddhism.

I vary much agree. Unlike many wise practitioners of one-pointed-ness and dharmic pluralism, but speaking just as a student of the study of world religions (though I was raised in Advaita Mat & Theravada Buddhism), of all the Santana Dharma pluralist relginions/philosophies, Buddhism is the most expressly atheistic, and pretending you can stick any old theistic worship into it and retain the Buddha Dharma is BS. As @梁森delusion said above, Buddhism ..."has the capacity to embrace various cultures😊" If one wishes to syncretize Buddhism with Faith based Theism, and the worship of a person/God, you'll have to ignore most of the Sutras of the Buddha Dharma, or change what Faith and Theism mean.

I've always had a soft spot for Buddhism, in spite of my general dislike of religion. I guess the reason is because Buddhism doesn't feel like a religion at all. Not in the western conception, at least. Not trying to shove dogmas and antiquated moral codes down my throat. Not forcing me into allegiance to any god nor priesthood. Not telling me my beliefs are "evil" and that I need to renounce everything for their beliefs. Just a philosophy on how to conduct my life, minimize suffering, prioritize my health, meditate, and help others regardless of their backgrounds/beliefs. It's not just some sterile list of "do's" and "don'ts," it's a perspective to approach all of your actions and figure out the do's/don't's from there. Hard to argue against that. Buddhism's certainly one of the few "religions" that have done more good than harm in the world.

@ Yes, but with a difference: In Buddhism we have the simile of the raft: "And what should the man do in order to be doing what should be done with the raft? There is the case where the man, having crossed over, would think, 'How useful this raft has been to me! For it was in dependence on this raft that, making an effort with my hands & feet, I have crossed over to safety on the further shore. Why don't I, having dragged it on dry land or sinking it in the water, go wherever I like?' In doing this, he would be doing what should be done with the raft. In the same way, monks, I have taught the Dhamma compared to a raft, for the purpose of crossing over, not for the purpose of holding onto. Understanding the Dhamma as taught compared to a raft, you should let go even of Dhammas, to say nothing of non-Dhammas."

Buddha was able to do that because He was above ‘self’, above ego. He had transcended ‘world’. Buddha had taught about 32 realms of existence, six of which are ‘godly’ abodes, where existence is at its zenith of pleasure. Godly realms are reachable by deeds that are meritorious (good karma). However, it does not mean that gods have quelled factors that contribute to continued existence and they too have the potential to decline and be born again in other not so wholesome realms, when the potency of the good karmas come to an end. Gods are beings who have not shed Desire, Conflict or Illusion.

@paulschuckman6604 this is probably the worse of understanding. Buddha teaches us the way to samsara. And he mentioned the 5th buddha will be borned on earth 5000 years after he passed. Why would he wanted to return. There is nothing in the tripitaka that suggests buddha will rebirth and its dangerous to deviate from any scriptures. Real teaching will be distorted.

The Unified Path: Christ and Buddha as One The Dharma flows like a river unbound, Honoring all paths where truth is found. From the stillness of Buddha’s knowing gaze, To the love in Christ’s resplendent ways. Both spoke of the heart, the inner light, A sacred journey from darkness to sight. Christ’s example, a heart set free, Buddha’s liberation, the mind’s clarity. In our essence, we are Christed beings, Awake to the oneness of all our seeings. Buddha and Christ, two faces of grace, Guiding humanity to its rightful place. Maitreya rises, a unifier of streams, Awakening the truth beyond all dreams. He walks the paths of heart and mind, To heal the fractured and lift the blind. This inner journey is the sacred art, To clear the mind and awaken the heart. For in the stillness, where wisdom abides, The Christ and the Buddha in all reside. No path excluded, no soul left apart, All are embraced in the universal heart. The Dharma renews as the ages turn, With Maitreya’s light, all hearts will burn. So let us walk this path as one, Under the moon and beneath the sun. Christ and Buddha, in essence the same, Uniting all paths in love’s eternal flame.

As a Buddhist I respect other religions. However, I don’t respect the people who use cherry picking from their faith’s teachings, using state violence, bigotry, and fear mongering to attempt to impose their beliefs on the entirety of society. It’s dangerous and we see what miserable places theocratic regimes are to live. I am weary of the Christofascists here in America who have hitched their wagon to someone who has never once in his greed-filled life been an exemplar of Christ’s teachings.

I am a practicing Buddhist. The inclusiveness and lack of judgment are part of the essence of Buddhism . Buddhism is a religion of practice that leads to faith through action. Action brings result - result displays proof - proof generates faith. Faith in Buddhism is not rejection of other beliefs. 16:27 It is faith in the practice regardless of your specific religious or philosophic beliefs. You need not give up what you already have. There is no "have to", no commandments in Buddhism. There is, "If you want the effect, the benefit, then this is what you should do." Or one can say, "This is the recommended path or a recommended addition or approach." There is no requiremen, no commandment, the choice is always yours. Peace to all

Very perfectly explained about the Buddhist practice as the simple solution in terms of the Meditation and Yoga, the most foundational elements of spiritual "Sanatana Dharma" probably from Indus people (from the carvings/seals of the ancient people)! These teachings were part of the great ancient University, Taxila (about 800-600 BCE)! King Gautham mastered ancient philosophy and rejected the offshoots and diversions after the Vedic period, bringing back the values of meditation and yoga of the past to overcome the sufferings from anger, greed, ego and confusion (AGEC).

Thailand 🇹🇭🙏is the number one Buddhist country and is the center of Buddhism that preserves Buddhism the most. In Buddhism, acceptance and respect for other religions are based on the teachings that emphasize kindness, compassion, and understanding individual differences. The Buddha emphasized that practitioners should have an open-minded attitude and not be so attached to their beliefs that they may conflict with others. 1. Non-attachment: Buddhism teaches “anatta” or the absence of self, which prevents practitioners from becoming too attached to their own beliefs or opinions. 2. Loving-kindness: Buddhism teaches people to treat everyone with kindness, regardless of their religion. 3. Non-compulsory belief: Buddhism emphasizes that people should find the truth for themselves without being forced to believe in anything.

I’ve looked at Buddhism a few times in my life but my struggle with it is it focuses too much on self. There are some things in the world (I.e. demonic affliction, companionship, etc) where I need to rely on a being who is higher and stronger than myself for help. I have found this through Jesus. I have tried praying to the great Buddha before as well but I have yet to receive any indication of guidance/solution beyond my own understandings. It’s hard to explain through words. I do believe Buddhism as an enhancement to my core faith is helpful though but just not as a stand alone “religion”. It’s more of a philosophy than religion to me.

Bhinneka Tunggal Ika (Unity in Diversity) is an official national motto of Indonesia... This quotation comes from canto 139, stanza 5, Kakawin Sutasoma. The full stanza reads as follows: Rwāneka dhātu winuwus Buddha Wiswa, Bhinnêki rakwa ring apan kena parwanosen, Mangka ng Jinatwa kalawan Śiwatatwa tunggal, Bhinnêka tunggal ika tan hana dharma mangrwa. Translation: It is said that the well-known Buddha and Shiva are two different substances. They are indeed different, yet how is it possible to recognise their difference in a glance, since the truth of Jina (Buddha) and the truth of Shiva is one. They are indeed different, but they are of the same kind, as there is no duality in Truth. The motto refers to the unity and integrity of Indonesia, a nation consisting of various cultures, regional languages, races, ethnicities, religions, and beliefs... Because it is a belief, the temples of Aji Saka/Ajiwaka/Ajivaka, Siwa-Buddha are still well preserved in Indonesia. In addition, the caliphate movement is prohibited...

God need not behave like a human to favour believers and show displeasure over non believers, regardless of their righteousness. Can a good CEO be displeased with you and disregard your talents just because you do not know his name? If God only favour believers regardless of their righteousness, then he needs to have an egoistic and nepotic character like worldly tyrants and corrupt politicians. The idea that one can go heaven without cultivating himself to higher spiritual standard is as silly as cramming unrefined squatters into premium residential estate and still expect it to remain a premium property. Anyone claiming their religion is the only true religion needs to first prove that only their believers were continuously blessed by God since antiquity. Cheers. Modern research on Near Death Experience by Raymond moody, reincarnation memories by Ian Stevenson/Jim trucker and past lives regression by Brian Weiss all independently but coincidentally show that our consciousness survive death, we live many lives and our thoughts and actions matter in the hereafter. So be kind and helpful to others, be virtuous, meditate and cultivate ourselves to higher spiritual levels. Cheers.
