I met Burt and Tracy Ward at their dog rescue in 1997 when I was having behavior problems with my Great Dane puppy. It was a memorable experience. They were both so nice, gracious and down to earth. It only hit me on the drive home who he was. I kept saying to my kids, “I know his name from somewhere.” Granted I was 5 or 6 when I watched Batman. Lovely genuine people who honestly wanted to help dogs and their owners.

How can someone be so perfect - Kind, Humble. Super Smart, Well Endowed, Super Athletic even from a very young age, Endurance and some kind of Healing Factor. Was he made in a lab or something ? He could have been his own super hero or a rich suave villain that keeps the heroes on their toes

@curtischildress9580
@curtischildress9580 2 жыл бұрын
Censors probably had problems with Ward's physique below his belt as probably did some very conservative viewers who were concentrating on things most of us never paid attention to...I watched the show back when it aired & never once saw a reason to crotch-watch anybody. Censors back in the 1950s & 1960s were very odd, even making several actors shave their chests before doing shirtless scenes or because their chest hair could be noticed through their shirt collars...William Shatner on Star Trek was told to shave his chest so he would appear more civilized & less barbaric & wild...Leonard Nimoy was told to keep his chest hair because they said it made him look more devilish & alien. ...Also, no man would volunteer to shrink his package unless he desperately needed money...there are types of jockstraps any man can wear that makes his private shape nicely contoured instead of being obvious.

I was around 6 years old when the Batman series began. It was my favorite show. But, I will say, I only watched to see Robin. I've always leaned towards hero characters that were still considered teenagers that could kick grown mens asses. Hehehehehe. Living in Glendale, CA at the time, my grandmother had somehow managed to get me an exact duplicate of Robins yellow cape. Wearing colored underwear and t-shirt, I became Robin when I was needed for emergency situations...eheheheheheh. Ahhhh, Good Times. :)

I was 9 years old, both actors were great, it was great, that you have to watch the second part, the next day. Robben represented every boy in America. Just like Jimmy Olson represented every boy who watch Superman. I live in Redford Michigan. Batgirl was not much of a fight on the set. What's funny I will be watching an old move, that I watch 55 years ago, and I can tell what COMES NEXT.

That's the difference between kids and adults. THEY are the ones who are obsessed with sex. Kids just see a cool superhero they want to be. They just want to watch and be part of the story. Get caught up in it. When you lose your ability to imagine, lose your ability to believe in the magic of the story, you become one of "those" adults.

I read in a book a long time ago that Burt was pretty well endowed and they made him tape it down somehow between his legs. But I never knew they made him take drugs to shrink it! I know I wouldn't have taken those pills no matter WHAT the role! I also read the same thing about Ricky Nelson. Once the dude hit puberty he became hung as a Shetland pony and they made HIM tape it down for his parents TV show as well! If any of you ever saw still photos of him when he did Rio Bravo with John Wayne you'd know it true too!

Omg, how crazy. I never noticed the ‘problem’ when I watched the show as a kid. We were all about the fights and plans and beating the baddies, enjoying the WOW! BAM! CRASH! and other words that popped up. It made us laugh and shout the words. Adults are way too sex conscious. The church apparently was way too interested in others and not enough facing with what was going on ‘in their own house.’ Oh well.

"Salacious" in what way? If it's factually correct, then it just is what it is.

Adam and Burt scored hundreds if not thousands of female groupies during the three seasons of the Batman series., both at the studio property and location shoots during episode production.

Ward shouldn't have been taking medications. He could have just asked a drag queen for tucking advice and a roll of tape.

You made a tiny mistake… Bruce Lee played Kato on the Green Hornet, not on Batman… However, there was a 2 part crossover when Hornet went to Gotham city, Brit Reed and Bruce Wayne were friends but Batman was suspicious of Hornet because of his underworld connections… And there was a fight between Robin and Kato, but it ended in a draw… You didn’t mention Burt’s appearance in the Arrowverse. It was a cameo and it was a blink and you’ll miss it moment. It was a great video, thanks for posting it.

Burt's Alma Mater, Beverly Hills High School, was used in Frank Capra's "It's A Wonderful Life" (1946), in the class reunion scene where Mary's ex-boyfriend (portrayed by Carl "Alfalfa" Switzer) enacts revenge on she and George (actor Jimmy Stewart) for coupling up during his date with her by turning the key which sent the entire dancing party into the swimming pool floor.
