I have had many conversations with Africans about a vast variety of subjects. Poverty was one of the subjects. I gave many suggestions as to how Africa could pull itself out of grinding poverty. They did not grasp the basics of a functioning society. Majority of the Africans live in a twilight haze. Meaning, they can't seem to think independently. Imagination and creativity are alien ideas. Any kind of progressive idea is something they feel does not include them but the other person. I can keep going. But these are things I have noticed about Africans at large. I don't see any part of Africa getting out of any kind of quagmire any time soon. Too bad. I love Africa.
