The party of this genocidal maniac is RSS which takes its inspiration from Mousalini and Nazi party of Hitler. The home minister of India Amit Shah calls immigrants "termites". You have discussed everything, but missed the elephant in the room. Somebody talked about IITs. Our economy today is not where it is because of the IITs. In fact, most IITians migrate abroad and haven't contributed to our economy much Our economy is where it is today because of our investment in basic education that is modern. In our government schools we teach science, not religion. The result was that when the country had to liberalize in 1992, we had abundant human capital that could be exploited. So whatever policy changes you make, whatever strategies you adopt, whatever facilities you provide, unless you invest in producing a workforce that has a scientific temper, you will not make much progress. Deradicalization of the masses must start now and with earnestness. If you do that , may be in the next 20 years, you can become a $1 trillion economy

Wow! What a seminar. We the citizens of India are just flabbergasted about the growth of entrepreneurship in Porkistan. All the panelists have rightly pointed out the ills of this Paleolithic economy. How to improve the situation to enable Porkistan to compete with Bangladesh seems to be the Million Dollar question on their minds. Here goes the magic wand ; a) You guys have to first come out of this burqaa/hijaab/skull cap mindset. We are seeing Economics/Management students in this traditional 10th Century BC uniform in a Business Meeting. b) Secondly, you need to immediately privatize the Army. They are the main culprits who are bleeding the economy by opening fast food outlets in the West. c) You need to develop on your Core Competency which is Jihaad. This business model has been copied by many other Islamic countries including Syria. You guys should have obtained a Copyright long back. d) You need to immediately appoint Mullahs and Moulvis as the CEO/CFO of your big businesses on a war footing. e) Your IT Panelist has rightly pointed out that it has taken 14 years to come back to Porkistan to serve your economy. We can understand the speed at which your economy is growing. Congrats. and lastly, f) Your young talented population should be educated in Business Schools of India than in Madrassas of North West Frontier Province. The sooner you adopt these strategies, the faster you will become the Jihaadi Republic of the World. Inshallah.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

One of the problems that come in the way of progress in a big way is that the people who have made it big do not remain in communication ,or in touch with the common man which comprises the bulk of the population . We just saw an example of this happening in this gathering too . Despite a request from the audience , passed on by the moderator ,to carry on the discourse in Urdu ,the participants stuck to English ,which probably quite a few in the audience could not connect up with . So unless we are more inclusive in our approaches we should not expect to make it big . Just a thought .

The main problem is the middle class has not been addressed. Unless this is addressed the purchasing power goes down leading to poor economic activity. The second problem is seeking parity with India and spending a huge amount on the army instead of doing business with India. Another bad descision is selling out the country to China. Too much emphasis on religion in the form of conversion, blashphemy and other outdated laws. Finally the most important - women empowerment by way of education and other benefits is dismal.

Establishment control most of your business/industry ( they are doing business in every industry - look at fauji foundation etc.) and since they get subsidy and tax advantage...which is very high barriers for new entrants in the industry.

How many major corporations did Pakistan have 30 years back? What did they produce, and where have they disappeared? 30 years ago Pakistan benefited from its alignment with the U.S for its help in containing Russia. All this produced was radicalised warriors who became redundant after the Americans walked away.

The last guy telling story of training people in IT seems quite innocent. Why he didn't sign a bond with them to work for his company for 2 years and train 2 more employees (each) before leaving. This way, he could have lots of fresh blood and people leaving him after 2 years won't ask for pay rise for being senior... Also, these people then send dollars back home anyway. It is a win win situation for everyone.

Pakistan was doing well as long as the US needed them…..then, religious fundamentalism and the US losing all interest in propping up Pakistan became a double whammy. Religious fundamentalism now is the root cause for the poor state of the economy in Pakistan….

Pakistan's main problem in that they continue to live in past!! Saying that Pakistan was doing well than India 30 yrs back has no credible evidence....is more a heresay! Living on donations from America will not create Economy....it will create only charitable institutions...stop the donations or charity, the institution collapses. Indian economy was definitely not in good shape at that time but there was no leadership vacuum and it had already set the direction for harnessing its immense human resources.... that's how today India is where it is.... it is not built only over past 30 yrs...as it is assumed ....though it did gather pace since 1990's.

This is the kind of pakistan we want to see. Not the punks who want to focus on Religeon and islam and manufacture terror. Why cant you guys in business lead the country? You guys no doubt have more brains than the others that lead the country. A country is nothing different than a company. its just bigger. of course a lot bigger but still it runs like a company. you guys can do it!

I.Ramamurthy The reality in pakisthan that there is no person freedom for the citizens. Without freedom no country will flourish except china. Unless pakisthan free from the clutches of army, politicians and zihadist, there may not be any improvement. Also must have inclusive growth of middle class and poor class people. In reality middle class and poor class families contribution to society is very huge.

Religion is a sixth century politico-militant doctrine. Religion is always use as mode of conquest. In Abrahamic religion indulging in any activity or thought which temporarily or permanently stops oneself from thinking about god or following gods commandments is forbidden to keep the followers in military discipline that's why questioning the belief (checking historic authenticity, scientific study) , idol worship, polytheism, apostacy, prophet hood, yoga meditation, sexual feelings , non virgin, homosexuality, intoxication, music are considered biggest sin in Abrahamic religion. A true believers biggest motivation is heaven and the only intoxication should be submission to god. Also not going to worship places, not obeying pastor ,not studying the religious books are also considered bad.

Want to know before thirty years in which sector pak was ahead of india, can any Pakistani enlightened us, according to world community per capita GDP in pakistan was higher in pak in 80's only due to USA grant ,it was only borrowed economy, same as afganistan, as long USA was there their economy was much better then pak but as soon as USA left afganistan then what about afg economy, india built its economy of its own, but unfortunately these so called economists don't ready to accept the reality, so no way, you will remain same as you now.

FYI: Pakistan have some IT companies and they're struggling to make a difference, many are in the verge of closure due to quality issue, trust and cheat.

These panelists or businessmen did not address the CORE ISSUE, which is Education and giving GOOD Education to all sectors of Pakistan.. Just average basic discussions on why and where Pakistan lacks...You won't get profitable IT sector if you don't create good engineers. You wont get successful Pharma companies if you don't produce PHDs. People only talk about India's IT sector. India is the called Pharmacy's Capital of the world with highest Global sales which is more than USA. FINALLY @1:04 One of the panelist spoke about Education and giving good education and that was at time when they were ending the discussion. I could see the students/crowd were not interested and whoever stood up to ask questions were really Stupid Dumb questions. Just buying Arms and Planes will not get Pakistan its economic freedom. You need to get out of ""Hate India" mindset and create more Entrepreneurs and the government should back them which will create more jobs and economic freedom. Best Wishes and Good Luck
