I have had my Classic for over 10 years, recently with a PID and Dimmer which gives excellent control over the taste of coffee you can get from freshly roasted beans from a specialist supplier. I have my machine paired with a Niche Zero.

Thanks for covering the Gaggiuino mod. It was good to hear a brief comparison. You’ve convinced me that is probably not the right option for me.

Things have changed, there's Gaggiagate or Boiler Gate and there's Ninja Luxe. Two game-changing events.

@@larrylitmanen9877 the new 2024 classics don’t have the coated boiler. The ninja lux is made mostly of plastic. (Similar to sage machines) If they last more than a couple of years before breaking you’ve done well. Classics last 20 plus years and can be modified to be phenomenal machines (they’re already great as stock) but get even better.

@@TheHomeBaristas Why would i want something for 20 years when we live in the world where new tech changes everything every few years? Right now I am the only guy at home who drinks espresso, so for me waiting 20 minutes to heat up and pulling a shot with Gaggia would be OK. But I have kids who in 4-5 years will start probably drinking coffee too, so now we have to wait until the machine heats up, we all have different timelines when we drink coffee. Wife drinks only instant, what if she changes her mind. Can you imagine how difficult it would be to use that machines between 4 people. There are all these limitations. In 20 years your life will undergo so many changes so to pay for long life hardly makes sense. Plus, nearly every new machine now, including new Gaggias come with these rapid heating elements that allow you to pull a shot in under a minute. I can bet you anything that in the next 2-3 years this very same Gaggia Classic Pro will come with a rapid boiler.

The classic with a good grinder will Make far superior coffee than the ninja. The ninja has some good features but is aimed at the unskilled coffee maker and has many limitations. For those that want great coffee the classic wins hands down This review of the ninja says it all. Some good features, but lots to work on kzbin.info/www/bejne/p5zJiYF7aNKejqMsi=La9VgjgOQLYcANaz

@@TheHomeBaristas I saw his review. Why don't you get the Ninja and do a head to head?
