I don't own a car. Haven't had a car in 12 years, only motorcycles. On a bike I can SEE the road... I can SCARE myself any time I want, or even don't want.. It's visceral, carnal, in touch. You see everything, feel everything, and no one is in the other seat distracting you. I have a Ducati Panigale and a DL1000 V-strom. Best of both worlds and I ride in any weather except ice and snow. I may never own another car.
