Do you guys observe that all the commenting viewers are Nigerians? Nigeria is feeding so many bloggers and vloggers all over Africa and beyond. Unfortunately, some of them from South Africa, Ghana, Cameroon etc hate Nigeria and do not wish Nigeria well. GOD bless Nigeria and Naija people. 🙏🏾 👍🏾

You can never grow a movie industry in Africa without collaborating with Nigeria because Nigeria is the only country in Africa that has the power and influence to make you popular. Anglophone cameroon or cameroon as whole is a very small country so you can never be known in Africa without collaborating with Nigeria. The francophone cameroon can collaborate with the other francophone countries in Africa but still only Nigeria can make you go global. You guys should stop being so emotional, Nigeria is the Africa Entertainment Powerhouse. Even South African stars are only popular in South Africa, 99.9% of them are unknown not to talk of Cameroon.😮😂😢 Only Tyla is well known and the rest of them are unknown.

Is envy and jealousy an African thing? Just asking for a friend. The whole of Europe, a continent, collapsed its movie industry into America's Hollywood. Same with all the countries in the American continent, from Argentina to Canada. The whole Indian sub-continent has collapsed its movie industry into Bollywood. But ever since Nigeria's Nollywood broke through to put Africa on the world movies map, every country in Africa, esp Ghana and Cameroon wants to compete, not in Nollywood, but with Nollywood. "I will never use a Nigerian movie star..." Ok my Cameroonian sister. No one is forcing you. But just don't come here or any other platform tomorrow to cry that Nigerians are not supporting you, are not promoting your movies. It's just that simple. And brother, South Africa doesn't come close to Nigeria in global movie rankings. You may even go to NY film academy and learn acting. Movies are local, they tell local stories first to a local audience before it has any cross-border appeal. South African institution in SA cannot teach you to be a better Cameroonian movie actor than a Nigerian in Nigeria. Am just getting to know you here and you think you can rub shoulders with Chidi Mmuokeme? Movie is the business of storytelling; stories about your culture or about the world from the lenses of your culture. To meet both the business target as well as the capturing the target foreign audience, you need not just a good actor but one recognized by the international audience.

You can't firce people to develop interest. You should make them develop interest, its an art. There were days in Nigeria where you find many young Nigerians say they don't watch Nigerian movies. The narrative has changed, more and more Nigerians are watching. Why do you think its so? Nigerian movies have improved greatly.

Darlyn Lyonga, till date 2024, Nigerian movie producers still use Ghanian actors in a lead roles and nobody is complaining cos they are doing well. Even your very own Shazney Okawa is taking lead roles here in Nollywood. It's not about producing movies, but do Cameroonians have where to watch it? You may have started making good movies, but if your marketing strategy is wrong, and Cameroonians can't access it, then you will just be running in circles. Nollywood is succeeding because they have been able to provide movies both of the big screens and small screens. It's obvious that the movies y'all making now is only for the big screens and you don't have the population to market it.

Just listen to the example the lady made. She the Boss and the cleaner . Both of them don't contribute equally. You can't pay a veteran actor to a new and up coming actor. Talk is cheap, putting it into reality is what counts.

I think the lady is among the 80/20 campaigners, dont be suprise if francophone cameroonians take this opportunity from you anglophones cause i dont see any reason why anglophone cammeroonians will be sleeping on this golden opportunity to grow there industries it seems east africans are the ones bent on learning from nigeria and it paying them greatly take alook at uganda and kenya movies there are really thriving GOD bless nigeria GoD bless cameroon GOD bless africa 🌍🌍

This is sad to watch, the guest were struggling to articulate their points. 🇨🇲 entertainment industry has a big distribution problem. Film makers/producer are still trying to figure out how air their movies for Cameroonians to watch and recoup their investments. Cameroon don't have enough cinemas 📽️ and also can not go back to DVDs days because of piracy, streaming is expensive and internet connectivity is low, CRTV 🇨🇲 is not buying even at the cost of production, so this is the dilemma the 🇨🇲 entertainment industry is facing. Minash Mum who ? is just blathering because she has a platform, can she afford any 🇳🇬artist 😤😤😡😡

We African need to separate emotions away from business. She said she can’t use Nigeria in leading role so pathetic. Nigerian don’t care where u come from, it is strictly business.. Countless Ghanaian actors / actresses played a lot of leading role in our movies guess what Nigerians dont care. Black people with black mind, Hollywood dominated Canadian movies industry and they are not complaining because it’s all about business.

What mutual benefits is she talking about, please Nigeria actors have their price tag, so who agree to pay them for their demands, it’s your producers in Cameroon, why talk as if the fault is from Nigeria, before they come to your country they lay out their conditions, which might include the kind of hotel, the car that picks them from airport, the type of food, so if you don’t meet such conditions, they don’t come and art. Please if you feel your people are that good tell them to do same, and stop crying over the internet, or do your thing alone and see how it goes, it took Nigeria thirty years of hard work to get there, you think by following Nigeria will take you three years as that lady said. Cameroon, let me tell you the only shorter way you can grow your film industry faster and shorter is to feature Nigerians and the only way to do that is respect and pay a price they demand, but if you want to go the Ghana way, good luck to you guys.
