I'm a bit confused as to why he muted KJ and Yoru (and to a lesser extent Jett) when they hadn't been making disruptive coms and didn't ignore his coms. Surely it would be better to at least be able to hear the information they're giving until their coms are deemed to be having a negative impact. He muted them after he called for a cancel and Jett dashed in anyways (I still don't entirely understand what a mute on the Jett is accomplishing), but in that case why did KJ and Yoru get muted? Even if I understood why he muted them in this scenario, 2 rounds in seems really early to do so, no?. Would it not be a good idea to at least ask your teammates politely to follow your calls after that play and then give it a couple rounds just to see? I'm not sure what I'm supposed to take away from this video as a learner. It seems like Hooj was just tilted, and replicating what he did here (in regards to muting his entire team because one player ignored his com) would not be a good idea.

Not IGL-ing and muting the entire team are not the same things at all. If he didn't want to IGL he could just not IGL. Whether he IGLs or not has no bearing on whether or not he mutes his teammates. In fact, I've seen Woohoojin on many occasions stop IGL-ing for teams that were not listening to his calls, but he doesn't normally mute them or make that decision after a single call gets ignored by a single player. He will even ask his teammates if they want him to keep IGL-ing or not when they aren't listening. @@421_ac

I've only had one match where my teamates baited me, then gaslighted me and blamed me for being baited (while we lost when we were up 11-1). The closest I've ever come to quiting. I wouldn't mute them though because I did need their comms, except they gave me false ones to die. Basically, what I'm saying, only in a situation where your teammates are trying to throw the game then I think I'd mute them, because otherwise you'd need comms sometimes. Edit: I watched the video and yeah, you were justified. I don't recall where their comms would make a huge impact, other than you are getting a few kills a round and your 4 teammates not even getting 2. They blatantly ignored all comms seemingly on purpose/

It's arguable whether its ok to do this in high elo or not but i'm sure people in low elo will imitate this behavior because hes doing it without realizing the difference in his game sense and awareness than theres.

Hooj is just like me as soon as someone becomes toxic to me or doesn't listen to play as a team. I like to comms especially cause timing takes effort during the match and mostly nobody follows what the pings are meant to be read when pinged. But being female too in my server (Dubai and Bahrain) can have a lot of toxic sexist men just hearing a female gamer that they start mocking and talking shit to you. I would prefer those who don't talk and play the game and actually play rather. Instead, I mute them to keep me from being tilted more and just go my own way while still trying to play while other teammates either try to help with playing or most of the time they troll and throw the game. Sad life. But I don't have anymore duo so I don't play ranked a lot anymore for many months now even when I want to see how far I would reach.

I'm sorry to say this but: I think this sets a bad example. The brim albeit calling himself a racist is probably a red flag, but could just be a bad dad joke (razeist*). To then proceed to mute the whole team on round 3 is in my book setting a poor example as a coach. If you need to mute the whole team on round 3 In order to not tilt, fine... but atleast don't post it on your KZbin channel inspiring tons of valorant players to mute their entire teams. It's very likely that alot of players will take this as acceptable teammate behaviour and there will be even more teammates in valorant who tilts early on and mutes their entire team. You proceeded to frag out on attack, but what if you hadn't? then your contribution to the game is even less and it looks even worse. I will catch a shitstorm from the fanbase for this, but I feel I really needed to give my honest opinion. I think woohoojin does a fantastic job of analysing, coaching and inspiring players of all ranks, and he puts a tremendous amount of effort into his work, I'd hate to see it ruined by something like this.
