I drink once a month. About 6 ahots of vodkas and a random shot. Is that good control?

The best question to ask yourself is when you drink is your life manageable.

@@BocaRecoveryCenter so for me! I am allowed to work when I want to. So the night I drink I make sure I have the next day off. Rest and catch up on sleep if I had any. Then as the week progress I work and make sure my body if full of good foods and nutrition and go about as normal

@@BocaRecoveryCenter my drinking started as I was 31. Could that be why I can control how long I go without a drink? Once had a drink at age 30 then went an entire year. Now If I had started drinking in my early 20s then probably would have been more addicted. Thoughts?

That’s actually quite interesting that you mention that because myself and many I’ve met that are out of control drinkers did start as young as 14 or 15 or later on in early 20’s so maybe it does impact the brain more deeply when started younger.

@@BocaRecoveryCenter Many people are born with a physical allergy to alcohol. No different to any other allergy. The body of an alcoholic literally processes it differently.
