It's wild how people genuinely think this. Bap's damage only competes with Cass if he's landing all three rounds (70 vs. 75 base damage). Seeing as John hit three headshots and three bodyshots here, Bap would need to hit 9 headshots (as well as 9 bodyshots) to outdamage Cass, which is not realistic at all. You can't track the head that well. Illari does have an effective range advantage, but this is completely negated by her headshot multiplier and slow rate of fire. At that range, Cass headshots are doing similar damage to Illari headshots, but with a faster rate of fire. The only one likely getting that kill is Zen, but he is squishier than Cass and shoots projectiles, it's hardly a fair comparison. More to the point Cass has been reworked to be a short range brawler. If you pick him onto longer ranged maps like Gibraltar, instead of Ashe or Widow or Proj, he's designed to struggle in his current state. That really has nothing to do with the support cast. The problem here is NOT Supp damage. It's Brig packs (insanely easy value and apply a burst+sustained heal), and arguably Cass range, but that's a specific choice they've gone with to give him a more distinct niche.

i think cassidy does decent damage. i've got killed by a good cass with 2 headshots in close-mid ranges and later a mercy just stick in his butt, ermpowering his damage... did you know what a pain is when a god cass is empowered/pocked by mercy...? i know Ash can do it better in a long distances, but we're talking about a freaking cowboy moving around with a big revolver and a grenade.

@@douchenozzlemcgee6111 the problem with genji is that he's like "poke until an opportunity to dive" character where his poke damage is trash and until there's an opportunity to dive he gets nothing done. Other divers like tracer don't have this problem as she doesn't have windows where she gets nothing done. The best playstle for genji is to farm ult as fast and as often as possible as his blade is arguably one of the best ultimates and that's how he's played at higher play and the juno meta has definitely helped him make a comeback

Meanwhile: Mei, Reaper, Junkrat, Soldier, Brig, Moira, Kiriko, Orisa, Mauga providing value to your team by existing (unless you're like REAAALLYY bad with aim and positioning) with minimal mechanical skill.
