I’m a Navy veteran planning a 60 day vacation as soon as things open up. I haven’t been to the PI since 1986. I’m hesitant to be going solo while seeing different parts of the country. In 86 had a girlfriend who went around with me. She had my back. Getting information from other vets would be nice.

I've watched your walk arounds of Trece. It seems like a nice spot. I am a vet as well and the areas you have shown seem like just what I'm looking for. Nothing wrong with Dumagete, but from the posts I've seen it doesn't look like it is for me. Hope to see you in a couple years. The earliest I can take my 2nd retirement is 56 and 4 months. Woe is me. Thanks for your time, the only resource you can't get back. I appreciate it.

Definitely sounds like a good fit for me. At 66, I still have my health. But thats not going to last forever. Access to quality healthcare is obviously non negotiable. That plus the low cost of living and central location make your area an attractive alternative. Thanks for another great video! It's really awesome the way you offer your help. Making the decision to pick up and move thousands of miles from home is a tough one, no matter what. Actually doing it, all the more so. I know. I've done it. Just to know that there is someone on the other end of your journey that is willing to give you a helping hand can make all the difference. Good on you bro'.

I should be able to move there with Josie sometime in late 22.. that's what the plan is anyways.. we are both fully vaccinated, so no troubles there.. Looking forward to it, plus like you mentioned, the VA is not that far away to go to if needed.. Thanks for the great info video's, keep up the great work.. we all appreciate them.. Dennis

I have my appointment to get the vaccine on Wed. at the VA clinic. We moved to this area because of the coolness of the area and the beauty of the Lake and Volcano. The area around Alfonso is a nice area to get a place too. Plus family close by was a big draw for my wife. A get together for Vets here in this area would really be great. We could meet at our place if you want, and I could smoke some ribs.

Any areas around Tagaytay are good locations, less traffic, pollution, cheap rent, and the weather temperature are just like Tagaytay. Some of the town I'm referring to are Amadeo - which is a coffee farming community; Indang - lots of jungle and farm; Alfonso - a farming community as well; Silang - still very rural and coffee farm land, you'll be very close to the CLEX once completed, East interchange section is almost done getting to Manila, BGC & Makati Business district will be faster. So many restaurant, beautiful scenery and nightlife specially Tagaytay still w/ a feel of a province life and still have easy access to quality healthcare in big cities like Manila, Makati, BGC.

I am a recently retired American that has a GF in Naic and found a great value hotel in Imus for only P1200 a night that includes air conditioning, free WiFi, a balcony, and a swimming pool, so I gave up looking for apartments due to mandatory one-year contracts that, if you do the math, are not enough savings for the ease of fewer responsibilities. By the way, thanks for your informative video. I want to bring my 93 year old Veteran Father (Korean War) out here with me soon and I am happy to hear you say that the VA is convenietly accessable.

Two years ago we PAID 12-14k pesos, now that SAME condo is 35k to 65k. I was told to look at Cavity, it is a great choice for us? So how MANY Pesos a month for a ONE Bedroom furnished apartment, good wifi, hot water, security and no kids screaming like they do in the Philippines. ALSO how far are you from Manila airport? Is there an immigration office in Cavity? Sorry so long, appreciate your time, Blessings Michael

Hey, hi, how are you? I’m planning on meeting my girlfriend for the first time, in Pasig, it’s where she lives. How far is Pasig, from Tracy Materas? I’m a retired Air Force veteran, so when my future Filipina wife and I come to live in the Manila area, being close to a major hospital, and VA clinic, would be at the top of my list, in deciding where to live. And of course, living in a decent, safe neighborhood and city, being close to nice beaches, a major mall, and nice restaurants, and grocery stores, is kind of a must. Tracy Materas sounds like the perfect city, and I’d like to meet with you sometime, when I come, this August, depending on travel restrictions to the Philippines, this summer.

Does the VA clinic in Manila only see Vets for Service Related health matters, or can you use them as a Primary Care Provider for general illnesses and problems? I do have a new Photo VA Medical Card. I am still so torn between moving to Manila NCR or Cebu City area, they both have their advantages and disadvantages. I like the NCR because everything is there. I like Cebu because a lot is there, but not everything, including the traffic. It is also easy access, close, and faster to hop a boat or plane to many great islands and resorts in the region. It also has one of the best governments in the Philippines.

@@RichTravel1010 That is interesting. I remember in 1977 (I was discharged from the Army in 1975 at age 25) I became very ill with hepatitis while I was in Graduate School, and was sent to a VA Hospital in East Orange, New Jersey to their isolation ward for at least a month in-patient. That definitely was not service connected. Unless it changed, I thought if you could not afford healthcare or did not have insurance, as a veteran, you could always use a VA Hospital or Clinic for whatever you needed, and they issued me a VA Healthcare Card in 1977 what was recently updated again in 2021.
