I trust a washed Dyson filter over a new aftermarket filter you're selling.

This is a very very odd video. I've used my Dyson for over fifteen years, and have bought new filters only TWICE in all that time. So ... yes, you CAN and you SHOULD clean rather than replace. 'Can' because Dyson filters ARE washable, and they don't smell if you leave them to dry. And 'should' because buying new filters every time your existing ones get dirty would get expensive. So expensive most people would likely hold off doing so, and end up using their filter beyond what's idea to save money.. Having said all this, I suspect a lot of the cheap copies one sees around just aren't up to Dyson's standard ... those you probably should throw out when they get dirty. I doubt they clean well. But in terms of genuine Dyson filters ... they're good for years. literally. Wash, dry, re-usse. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat.
