To those claiming AI is a hype, you should really speak to those working on it. Sure, there are some very high valuations currently and there will be a pull back or even a slight correction, but make no mistake, this is something that is growing exponentially. There are several serious programmers writing very detailed dissertations on the history of, current state, and near to mid term growth of the technology. It is both exciting and extremely concerning… we know not all will be successful, but there will be some major winners and if you happen to be invested in those then it will be highly profitable. Everyone is entitled to vote with their money: if you are bearish then short, if bullish buy shares. Either way, there will ultimately be a winner and a loser. as for me, Im a believer and riding my buys for the long term (3-5 years min). Wish you all the best as well…

Why is OpenAI giving away free compute, which makes the benefits for premium users less valuable over time, if they are supposedly concerned about making a profit? It seems contradictory. They appear "charitable" because they vowed to "benefit humanity." By giving away free compute, they can gather more feedback, and with Microsoft backing them, they are less likely to go bankrupt even if they are losing $5 billion this year. At the end of the day, AI is a research field, there will be ups and downs in research and development, there is no single crash.
