I think the fact Chica seems more alive than the others in Fnaf 1 is a fun little detail when you take in the fact she was the first of the children to be murdered. She is more used to running her animatronic because she's been in it longest, so she comes off as more aware and alive due to that.

For anyone wondering theres a lore reason why chica isn't in sister location, as the animatronics are clearly designed by william afton (the interview) it makes sense why chica isn't there, because chica had a seperate restaurant, called "Chica's Party World" who was created by henry emily (william aftons enemy). So Afton purposely didn't incluce her because she wasn't HIS animatronic, but henrys, so she wasn't included in sister location, which also explains why "Chica was the first" as william put the child in chicas body first because it wasn't his animatronic, so he didn't care what happened to it, and also explains why Funtime Chica is in FNAF 6 and why she has a different design, as FNAF 6 was run by Casette Man (henry emily), not Afton, so he made sure to add Chica in and also gave her another design as Funtime Freddy & Foxy where made by different people than Funtime Chica. So thats why. To sum it up. Chica isn't williams animatronic, so she wasn't in sister location, which explains other lore.

Bonnie, Chica and Foxie are ironically the three primary colors, creating a sense of balance. The brown of Freddy comes from mixing all three together, creating a sense of completion and unity as well as implying a more neutral and apathetic perspective. Going based on color theory alone, the group would be incomplete without her. Plus I found her to be the creepiest. She seemed to be the most unpredictable and unhinged of the four.

Something I've noticed about all the glamrocks is that they all kinda represent a crutch, or archetype of Rock Life. Freddy is doing it to have fun with his friends. Roxy masks her self confidence issues. Monty is the jerk of the band. To me, Chica was someone who worked hard, but had a secret side to her. Like her "vice" is eating pizza/garbage. So while she may appear happy and friendly on the outside to the public, she has this secret vice side that she wants no one to see. Something that could either represent the "silent sufferer" of the rock world. be it drugs or an eating disorder...... Am I looking too far into this? Maybe... But Monty having jealousy issues and Roxanne crying when she becomes shattered cause she thinks her looks are all that matter and why people love her... Idk. It's just something to chew on for Glamrock Chica

For me, Chica is the scariest animatronic out of the classic four. The way she stares at you in the first game is very unnerving, as well as her jumpscare. She's the character that killed me the more times. In FNAF 2, she just looks creepier than ever. Her jaw is nightmare fuel.

I noticed Glamrock Chica has a strange and unique moveset, take a look at Monty and Roxy, they have very stable and normal movement but Glamrock Chica is always slouching and very loose when walking, almost as if shes a puppet being moved around awkwardly. Shes also constantly crying even before her decommissioning and is always hungry. She tries to stuff her mouth with food and realising she cant soothe her hunger she starts acting weird. I strongly believe that Chica is a childs soul trapped within her because of her emotional behaviors.

On the topic of Chica in SB, the intro sticks out to me a lot. Note she's shown to be visibly distressed when Freddy starts glitching out and even runs to him when he collapses. In the first game I actually feel the opposite way about their appearance. I guess that's because all of instances where bonnie looks straight at you, and always keeps a normal posture, mainly the parts and service cam, the left corner cam and when he's at the door. I always found the original Chica to be the funny one of the group. The way she stares at the player in the doorway or in the Dining Hall with a "😃" expression on her face never ceases to make me giggle a bit. Based on Matpat's new FNAF timeline, William Afton hated Chica cause she was created by Henry, who he hates but admires since the 1970s. 'Chica's Party World' was Henry's business before he collab with Afton and 'Fredbear's Family Diner'. When Afton created the funtime animatronics, he used his original ideas for the main roaster of SL. No Chica cause she's related to Henry's.

Chica wasn't in sister location for what seems to be, according to MatPat, lore reasons. Freddy and Bonnie were Afton's creations, hence why they're part of one animatronic, and he and Henry probably created Foxy together. Chica though, she was Henry's original creation. She was originally from the Mediocre Melodies. The Freddy's locations and Fazbear Inc. were co-owned by Afton and Henry, but Circus Baby's Pizza World was owned solely by Afton Robotics, and he didn't have the rights to Chica.

@@madisnzz Arguably he's done plenty worth dislike, what with having indirectly been a part of the problem with all the holes in the storyline and directly been one of the main sources of the confusion throughout it. Regardless this specific part isn't something I would consider to be 'loose ends' as much as just a design choice, and there were plenty of those throughout both before and after SL - though SL has a lot of design choices that were perhaps less than ideal to begin with, this wasn't really one of them. The other characters work fine in place of the preexisting ones and the series _did_ need some more diversity between them anyways, I think, though I know that part is subjective entirely as is much of anyone's side of the discussion.

In the 4th fazbear frights book step closer the 3rd story is coming home which follows Susie (the spirit that posesses chica) and her family after the missing children’s incident. Susie in the story has a LOT of personality and I think that ties in with the point of Chica in fnaf 1 having more personality. I totally recommend reading that book if your going to read any (tear warning for the last story😢)

The 12th story of Fazbear's Fright "Coming Home" has the best use of Chica in it and it explores one of the most often over looked aspects of fnaf; that being families of the missing childeren, the victim itself and how a soul acts in universe. It needs more recognition, especially since it is Susie, literally the first victim and has a very interesting ghost story tone.

You know ruin and shattered chica are my favorite mostly because of how they act like a zombie ruin even has who have a trash bag as a stomach and pizza on her mouth the way she sounds of all the nuts and bolts squeezing together and making this weird earpiece sound when she kills you, but especially when I was talking about earlier ruin with the pizza stuff on her face to make it look like she is kind of organic like a zombie for me. I’ve always found Chica to be the creepiest. Her fnaf 1 design looks so uncanny, in so many camera her mouth is wide open and her eyes look directly into your soul, and her weird neck movement as well as sometimes looking dead at you, no mouth open, but serious as hells, like we did something to them and they’re angry (FoREsHaDOwInG!?!?!?). As you said, she looks too alive in not only fnaf 1, but all of them. Even toy chica is unsettling without her beak. But Withered Chica is by far the creepiest animatronic in the entire series. Her lack of eyelids as she stares dead into you with that extremely wide open mouth to the point of looking as if she’s in pain is very creepy and unsettling, it’s the lack of eyelids that really help the creepy factor, it makes her look like she’s suffering in some type of hell, I just hate those eyes, it’s not even her mouth or witheredness IT’S THE EYES, like add eyelids to withered chica, it doesn’t hit the same does it? I still think withered chica is best doesn’t Scott has made in term of uncanny and creepiness

Scott Cawthon made a detail in FNAF 1 by making Chica stay longer at the night guard window far longer than Bonnie has. she seems to be very unwanted based off this quote; "Uh, by now I'm sure you've noticed the older models sitting in the back room. Uh, those are from the previous location. We just use them for parts now. The idea at first was to repair them...uh, they even started retrofitting them with some of the newer technology, but they were just so ugly, you know? The smell...uh, so the company decided to go in a whole new direction and make them super kid-friendly. Uh, those older ones shouldn't be able to walk around, but if they do, the whole Freddy head trick should work on them too, so, whatever." - Phone Guy, Night 2 Susie, the spirit possessing Chica is very eerie. “I have seen everything.” scared me in a good way. Before Susie was Chica, she was a young girl who attended her friend's birthday party at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza. At the party, the five children were visited by Spring Bonnie, one of the two retired animatronic suits from an older location, Fredbear's Family Diner (actually William Afton wearing the Spring Bonnie suit). He lured them into a back room where he brutally murdered them and hid their bloodied corpses inside the 4 animatronic mascots, and one in the other retired suit. The children's spirits remained trapped in the animatronics. the thing about her story is that she was just a traumatized little kid fighting for her life, but these spirits are very vengeful ones so i’d assume they’re no longer friendly whatsoever. here’s another story of hers; In the third story of Fazbear Frights: Step Closer, Coming Home, Chica appeared every night in Susie's house, and would grab her hand and left with her. On the night when Samantha tried to find Gretchen the doll that Susie hid before she died, Chica tried to stop her from finding it. After the doll was found, Chica once again left the house holding Susie's hand after her farewell. chica is really something and a beautiful and special character.

I think the reason we stop seeing Chica after FNAF 4 is because Scott had to set a timeline of events for the games and books to follow, a bunch of retcons had to be done, Chica's lore was expanded, now a character from her own chain of restaurants before joining Freddy's and also the first victim of the MCI, all this limits the canon appearances she can make. My speculation about Scrap Chica is that Susie might have been supposed to play a bigger role in the lore, given that she has her own minigame in FNAF 6 but Scott probably changed his mind at the last minute since Susie's role is very similar to Charlie's.

I've been in the fnaf fandom long enough that I've gone through several phases of liking certain characters. Bonnie is my current favorite, but chica is definitely my second favorite of the original for. Chica for the fact that she still manages to scare me after 7 years.
