I'm from Siliguri. :) Many people don't know about my city and its' importance. Our city is like a fort. We are surrounded by army camps, runways, tanks etc. I can see jets, helos, tanks, artillery if I go for a ride at surrounding area of my city.

All these are happening because our leaders were and are blind of the dangers of the Chinese until very recently. Our netas were busy fighting, insulting and destabilizing eachother,when china was busy surrounding our country with its investments and structures. India should wake-up soon.. this shows how important development is not only military spendings. Hence we have to accept the Chinese offer to fix the problems which are occurring because of West Bengal policies. If that move making India uncomfortable, we have nothing to do. We waited a long time more than 20+ years to fix these issues with India.And it's time to be practical for us.

Just like it is racism to call North East people Chinese, it is also racism to call Nepali speaking Indians as Nepalese Immigrants or Bengali speaking Muslims Bangladeshi immigrants. The Corridor is well guarded, there is no demographic change there in comparison to Assam or Gaur part of Bengal. Wikipedia or any site will speak the same. These small details may not be important for StudyIQ but may ruin peoples' lives.

From china point of view more important is 120km sea strip between south tip of Andaman known as Indira point and Indonesia which is connected to south China Sea through strait of mallacca. .. this corridor is bottle neck for Chinese commercial shipping as well chinese navy movements to Indian ocean... India should think very seriously to strengthen southern most little Adaman island by strong Indian navy and air force bases.. such activities ease the chinese pressure on our Northern boundaries. ..

Road connectivity is not good till Sikkim. Sikkim also shares its border with China and Nepal. Road is the main means of transportation to the Sikkim borders but it is impossible for Indian Army for fast movement to borders if in future there is any clash between China. Sikkim highway is always neglected.
