That's very true. Toreno was the friend who CJ needed to face Tenpenny. He was the unexpected element that Tenpenny could not see and defend against. Imagine how frustrated and scared Tenpenny must have been when Sweet was mysteriously released from prison by a government entity.

Toreno was pure serious business, all of the missions he gave cj, he did them too when he was still a rookie, that's why he helped cj throughout the whole arc, i remembered the phone call toreno said to cj "those who tried and died and still walking on this earth had one thing in their mind... Believe in yourself" toreno was that guy who survived and he wanted cj to survive too to make sweet release from prison.

You could argue since all the dirty work he does for Toreno is somewhat sanctioned by his organization, Toreno probably prevents or stops anything or anyone from going after CJ. Toreno is also using Sweet as leverage against CJ.

Nothing but fond memories of GTA SA. I was a senior in high school getting ready to leave school. I was playing this (and mgs snake eater) when I should have been studying lol. I regret nothing. This game is amazing, the story, the characters, the radio stations etc pure nostalgia. i think its because Mike being a CIA agent is smart and rational enough to control CJ because he had incredible potential, and since he had the resources to use as leverage, itll make sense for Toreno to instead make CJ work for him rather than wasting away someone as useful as CJ. And CJ seemed unnerved and intimidated by Toreno, specially after finding out that he is a government agent. CJ might be naive but even he knows Toreno is on a whole other league compared to Tempenny.

CJ's war against the Loco Syndicate is intended to only be a small step in the war against C.R.A.S.H. However, the boss of said Syndicate just so happens to be a powerful government agent, who not only forgives CJ, but also offers him the mean to remove his brother from C.R.A.S.H's custody in exchange for some work. Though CJ has to admittedly bust his ass off to get this one done, going to an even bigger corrupt cop for help is never presented as an option for him before this point. Without Toreno's unexpected assistance, the last act of the game would not be possible as CJ wouldn't be able to take back Los Santos without jeopardizing Sweet's life, no matter how rich or how many allies he has accrued up to that point. That's how I personally look at it, your point is correct on all sides. a mirror image of Officer Tenpenny, curiously enough. They are both agents of the law whose modus operandi involve divide and conquer tactics against "bad people" with Tenpenny manipulating street gangs and Toreno against Gods-know-who he is fighting. The key difference is that Toreno doesn't seem to be corrupted by power like Tenpenny and is revealed at the end to be a man of his word

I think during "Toreno's Last Flight" mission. "Toreno" never boarded the helicopter. He was already at the ranch at Tierra Robada. Of coruse "Torino" could never report to his agency that "CJ" exisit, let alone working in the shadows for them. The whole game is one big "6 Degrees Of Separation". 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔

My personal theory is that he was at the helipad, but knew CJ had connections to the local triad, so made an appearance to be spotted by the Triads, where the Triads had no idea he'd be suspecting them to tip off CJ. Once he seen the triads, he could have left hiding in the back of a van that was being unloaded to the helicopter. Then when CJ arrived the helicopter took off, giving the obvious assumption that the boss would be escaping. Also testing CJ's ability to take down a helicopter, a skill he would need to use later.

CJ breaks into a military base and steals a 60 million dollar jetpack and they don't do anything later, despite the fact that the base is right next to his airfield. So I don't think breaking Sweet out of prison would cause any problems. The law is useless in San Andreas...🤣🤣🤣 Good video still👍

Let's precise this. Even though Mike Toreno's missions were the toughest and the deadliest, they were the most lucrative missions i've ever seen. Like let's be serious, those missions were paying up to 20000$ to 25000$. Apart from Salvatore, Toreno really paid CJ extremely well as compared to Tempeny

Do you really get 2 silenced 9mms when you reach hitman level with them? I Stg through my child and adulthood I’ve never taken the time to hitman the silenced 9mm. Always just go for the deagle as fast as I can, and I assumed hitman 9mm silenced would just let you move and shoot accurately like with the deagle
