I just found your channel. It is so refreshing to find someone who actually explains, with examples (audio/waveforms/etc), how this gear works. I am new to audio recording and truly appreciate your delivery and style. I’ve subscribed and am looking forward to digging into your videos. Thanks!

I'm running a Neve 1073 into a Warm Cl1b but the input and the output are both "pegging" while recording vocals. The compression is good and sounds nice, but how do I stop the I/O from pegging?? Or should I not even worry about it?. Thanks!

The Wa2a is probably one of the worst clones of the La2a out there, probably even worse than the Klark T, the 1B seems to do a pretty good job at reproducing that tubetech smoothness, and the wa76 smashes the transient like no other 76 clones does ! I Like it alot!

Love your videos Mike but I get disillusioned when i know it's advertising. Probably a great product though. When you started i felt more authenticity with your reviews as you weren't doing the promotions. I stopped watching Warren Huart for this reason. Hope you don't mind the feedback. Still like your channel..

Hi James. Thanks for your feedback. I understand where you are coming from, and appreciate your perspective. Not wanting to be too defensive, but I will say wouldn't praise a product I can't genuinely stand behind. There are many companies that ask me to work with them, who I wouldn't work with, as I feel their products are substandard. Warm Audio though consistently impress me, as do Arturia, Native Instruments, IK Multimedia - to name but a few. I will say however, that it is my intention to do a greater number of tutorial videos etc. Hopefully, whilst this video featured a product, it was also informative as well, on the subject of this style of compressor. Thanks again for your constructive comment, and I'm glad you cared enough about the channel to do so.

@@CreativeSauce Thanks for your reply Mike...I agree. Warm Audio do make great gear as do the other companies you mention. It's only an observation after many years of watching creators videos. You're a trusted source as far as I'm concerned. I hope you don't slip over to the "dark side"..ha ha. love your work/channels.

This thing is about as good as the UA plugin…. It is nowhere near in the class of the CL1B hardware.. Those of us who have used the real thing can tell the difference. I bought this and sent it back. I highly suggest everyone do a Plugin doctor comparison if you choose to purchase and then compare to the UA plugin…often you’ll start to like the UA better.

Man some hardware compressors even have wet/dry knobs, and this doesnt even have an output knob. DEALBREAKER Ps; if they wanted to keep costs low, why not make an output knob instead of the input, its more important than the input gain since you have a threshold knob ? Im glad i never had warm audio gear

I think its always useful to watch the video or read the specs before commenting :) 3:15 - the 'gain' control IS an output control.

You don't know what you're talking about, it has a make up gain. Research the product before making silly comments.
