The only reason you won't is just psychological conditioning from western media to make you more repulsed by insects so you won't go an eat them as an alternative to the beef and poultry industry. Not only raising taxes, but our standard of living needs to reduce a lot. Climate Change's effects are already irreversible, and by the time govts actually do something, it'll be too late for us. Politicians are paid by corporations, who profit from polluting the earth, there's no real benefit for them being more ecologically responsible, infact it's less profitable. Our society is run by a vicious cycle motivated by greed, if you really know how the world works, it's depressing to come to the realisation that humanity is fked, and our generation may very well be the last. Even if we manage to somehow survive, our standard of living and the luxuries and comforts we enjoyed will never be the same.
