Maybe... just maybe... ancient humans started feeding ancient dogs and thats what started the highly sociable animals that became the dogs we know today?

They actually did the opposite first to prove their theory, they inky bred the aggressive unruly ones first to see if theyd get worse before they started breeding the friendly ones.

These days, they produce around 80-90% "elite" foxes which is what they call the friendliest most docile foxes and they only sell them to keep doing their research because they are publicly funded and do not have the funding available to keep all of their foxes. You should find out where people can donate to them so that we can further their research and potentially make domestic foxes the next pet craze, if funding goes up production goes up and costs go down

There is exactly ZERO signal for an increase in rate of sea level rise from the hundreds of NOAA ground-based tide gauges around the world, going back 160+ years. Sea levels have been rising 1-2mm/year (absolute rate, not relative, which varies greatly around the world) for at least 160 years, and likely much longer (we just don't have data to confirm that). No change in rate of sea level rise = nothing is having any effect on the rate of sea level rise. Not CO2, human emissions, nor anything else. Now you know.

In the future, along with people arguing whether dogs or cats are better, people will argue whether foxes or "regular" dogs are better.

Our family’s been here in California for 135 years… Fifth generation, we’ve never seen the ocean level of breach are Avi beach… And moreover, the analogy she uses with the rising San Andreas Fault… Well, she moves her hands up like 1000 times higher maybe 1 million times higher than the actual incremental half an inch a year if that that the San Andreas Fault is lifting one piece of the land up… So we’re talking millions of years to worry about it and by then it’ll probably just a question of this: “the sky is falling chicken little, the sky is falling! “

In a century or two we could have a wide variety of domestic foxes, just like we have a variety of dogs, cats, and horses. Belyayev was working on the base breed of domestic fox, once they are well and truly domesticated and widely available the humans will naturally breed them for a specific task.

My dog rarely lets strangers touch her, but is very friendly with family members. So individual character may play a role as well. Also, if you call yourself "Science" you should know that a hand full of foxes doesn't make for a good experiment

leave those animals alone. Even we humans have been domesticated to be smiling obedient slaves. Seeing that fox on a leash is disgusting. We should learn how to be wild free creatures again, and we should leave the damn animals alone for sure. We already have dogs. Stick with them.
