Fyi, Nigeria has a long history of making great music and producing great musicians like Fela Kuti that is a global icon. So Nigerian music didn't start with Afrobeats. Afrobeats is just the Face of Naija music today Also, all these comparisons are pointless. Music is not a competition. Music comes in different forms, genres, rhytms and so on targetted at different tastes and market; Congolese music and Nigerian music are different genres so why compare them, saying one is better than the other? Its not necessary. Besides Nigerian music isnt just Afrobeats, we have lots of indigenous music here from our different ethnic groups the world knows nothing about, Afrobeats is just the popular one the world knows rn. There was a time Congolese music was very popular in Nigeria and our people vibed to it; now its Afrobeats time to reign.
