Woke was a term that was used by black teenagers to mean "keep away from bullsh*t, stay awake and do not get taken for a fool(being asleep to the situation around you)". I say this is past tense because when middle-aged polticians start using a term coined by teenagers then it is out of date and just sounds weird.

The problem is that activists started using that term in very identitarian struggles that used shaming tactics and thought terminating cliches like: “you’re white, you cant have an opinion on that”, “check your privilege”, “you’re a cis white male”, “colonizer”.. Feminist publications like everyday feminism used the term woke in their attacks on the cis white male, and so it was just a matter of time before the word got redefined.. Words get redefined all the time.. Fascist, racist and white supremacist were redefined many times throughout recent history as well.. I doubt the left can define fascist in a better way than the right can define woke..

The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other peoples money. When everything is controlled by a single entity and your wages are not dictated by a free market but by evenly distribution it destroys any chance of progressing society cause there is no incentive for good ideas, new inventions or even hard work. Conservatives don't like to define "woke" for the same reason a lot of Conservatives didn't like to define "communist". When you define your beliefs as "utopian" or "good", you become elusive in an extremist toxic environment.
